Hold The Date!

Rally Day 2022 is Coming!

Rally Day, our annual community-building event, is set for Sunday September 18thWe will start our day of with joyful worship in the sanctuary at 10:00AM. Students and educators (pre-school through grad-school), we invite you to bring your literal or figurative school bags to worship to receive a blessing. 


Following worship service, join us for grilled burgers and hotdogs, games, and fellowship! Please bring a side salad and/or a dessert. Starting next week, we will have a Sign Up Genius available in the ENews. If you prefer, a paper sign up sheet will be available starting this weekend on the bulletin board outside Jeff's office. We will need you to RSVP so we can plan accordingly. In order for our day to be success, we will need some helpers to lend a hand. 


Let’s start the new school year and launch our fall programs with a fun time filled with food, friends, and laughter! Hope to see you there.

A Special Thanks

This Week

Help Up Turn the Towns Teal this Sunday, August 28th!

September is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. We will need a couple of volunteers to join our CUMC team after our 10:00 AM worship service this Sunday to help tie Teal ribbons around our trees. This is a national movement that started right in here in Chatham as a way to call attention to this disease. Turn the Towns Teal is an expression of support and solidarity for those dealing with ovarian cancer. To read more about this movement, Click Here.

Sunday at 10:00 AM in our Sanctuary 

Our weekly coffee fellowship following the worship service will be outside the Narthex Main Street Doors. In addition to our usual goodies, we will have juice boxes and sidewalk chalk available for our youngest friends.

All are welcome to join us!

This Sunday our service includes Mike Maguire, organ, performing Locus Iste by Paul Mealor. Our hymn sing before the service will include the hymns: Draw the Circle Wide, and How Great Thou Art. Join us!


Thank you to our singers who joined in the two Summer Choirs during July and August! Our Covenant Choir will begin rehearsals on Sunday morning of September 11th at 8:45 a.m. in the Music Room. Our other music groups will begin later in September. If you would like information about the Covenant Choir or any of our music groups: The Wesley Ringers, the Wind Ensemble, the Praise Band, The Ukulele Orchestra contact Music Director, Peter Hill, at petepiano@mac.com. Musicians from no experience to much experience are all welcome.

Current Masking Policy

The CUMC Church Council has voted unanimously to follow the CDC Covid Data tracker for Morris County to evaluate weekly Covid levels. Going forward, this tracker will help guide us in determining our indoor mask usage for all CUMC functions. Covid levels and recommendations are updated weekly on Thursday nights by the CDC. These updates will be used at CUMC from Friday-Friday and will state if masks required (high level) or optional (medium/low). You may check to see what the current Morris County Covid levels are prior to coming by Clicking Here
