Rally Day 2022 is Coming!

Rally Day, our annual community-building event, is Sunday September 18thWe will start our day of with joyful worship in the sanctuary at 10:00AM. Following worship service, join us for grilled burgers and hotdogs, games, and fellowship! Please bring a side salad and/or a dessert. 


We will need you to RSVP so we can plan accordingly. In order for our day to be success, we will need some helpers to lend a hand.

A Special Thanks

Last week we received a lovely "Thank You" letter from UMCOR Global Ministries expressing their gratitude for our support of their efforts to provide relief in Ukraine and for UMCOR Sunday. Together we were able to send $7,595.00!

September is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Thank you to our volunteers last Sunday that helped tie Teal Ribbons around our trees. This Week

Sunday, September 4th

Sunday at 10:00 AM in our Sanctuary 

Our weekly coffee fellowship following the worship service will be outside the Narthex Main Street Doors. In addition to our usual goodies, we will have juice boxes and sidewalk chalk available for our youngest friends.

All are welcome to join us!

Our 10:00 a.m. Sunday service on September 4th includes Mike Maguire & Peter Hill, piano four-hands, with Steve Davis, drums, performing This Little Light of Mine arranged by Mark Hayes. Our hymn sing before the service will include the hymns: Lord of the Dance, and Rejoice the Lord is King. Join us!


CUMC's Covenant Choir will begin rehearsals on Sunday morning of September 11th at 8:45 a.m. in the Music Room. Our other music groups will begin later in September. If you would like information about the Covenant Choir or any of our music groups: The Wesley Ringers, the Wind Ensemble, the Praise Band, The Ukulele Orchestra contact Music Director, Peter Hill, at petepiano@mac.com. Singers and instrumentalists of all ranges of experience are welcome.

Meet our new Simpson Seminarian Intern for Youth Ministry, David Gaitán! David has been instrumental in helping us on Wednesdays this summer at the Community Food Distribution. David has already been preparing and planning some exciting youth events starting this fall. We look forward to sharing more information in the coming weeks! Stay tuned....

Current Masking Policy

The CUMC Church Council has voted unanimously to follow the CDC Covid Data tracker for Morris County to evaluate weekly Covid levels. Going forward, this tracker will help guide us in determining our indoor mask usage for all CUMC functions. Covid levels and recommendations are updated weekly on Thursday nights by the CDC. These updates will be used at CUMC from Friday-Friday and will state if masks required (high level) or optional (medium/low). You may check to see what the current Morris County Covid levels are prior to coming by Clicking Here

Community members can learn about different cultural groups while helping to promote empathy and inclusion.

This event will feature multicultural entertainment, speakers, food vendor, and booths hosted by local organizations featuring fun, creative activities for all.

The event is free to attend however, food and beverages as well as some activities will need to be paid for.
