Football season is here, and we have Sunday Ticket, so you can watch all your favorite teams and games right here at the Post!

We’ll have the Jaguars game audio playing over the PA in both Freedom Hall and Liberty Hall, so you won’t miss a single play.

The kitchen will also be open, serving up wings and plenty of other game-day favorites.

🎂 Volunteers Needed – Help Us Celebrate Our Local Seniors! 🎈Thursday September 10th

Post 129 is excited to host the monthly birthday celebration for the residents of Pablo Hamlet Senior Living right here at our Post!

We’ll be welcoming the residents for an afternoon of birthday fun on Thursday, September 10th, and we would love to have some of our members there to help make their visit extra special. ❤️

We are looking for volunteers to help decorate, welcome our guests as they arrive, visit with the residents, and help us wish everyone celebrating a birthday a very Happy Birthday!

🕐 We are still finalizing the time, but we are currently planning for approximately 1–3 PM.

If you can spare a couple of hours to help us give these seniors a wonderful afternoon at Post 129, please fill out the form below to volunteer.

Join the Post 129 Auxiliary on Sunday, September 13, from 1:00–4:00 PM for a fun afternoon of football, food and friendly competition!

Enjoy chicken wings in multiple flavors while supplies last, and help choose the winner of our Deviled Egg Showdown.

Members are invited to bring their favorite deviled egg recipe and compete for prizes, bragging rights and the title of Post 129’s best deviled eggs! To enter the contest, contact any Auxiliary officer.

Proceeds will support the Auxiliary’s Children & Youth Program, helping pay unpaid school-lunch balances for children at Mayport Elementary School.

Join us at American Legion Post 129 on September 15 at 7 PM for a fun, nautical-themed craft class!

Choose your favorite lighthouse design, enjoy great company and leave with a beautiful creation of your own.

The class is $40 per person, and all supplies are included. No experience is necessary, and you do not need to be a member to attend.

Post 129 Members—Let’s Show Up Strong for the Wounded Warrior Project Soldier Ride!

On Friday, September 25, Post 129 will have the honor of hosting a group of veteran riders participating in the Wounded Warrior Project Soldier Ride. Some of these veterans have been injured during their service and will be completing the ride on adaptive bicycles.

The riders will arrive at approximately 8:30 AM for breakfast and fellowship before beginning their ride at 9:45 AM. We would love to have our members here to welcome them, spend some time with them and give them an enthusiastic send-off.

They are expected to return around 11:30 AM, and we need everyone back at the Post to cheer them across the finish and celebrate their accomplishment!

The riders will then have lunch before departing around 12:30 PM.

Let’s fill the Post with encouragement and show these veterans the warmth, gratitude and support of the Post 129 family. Even if you can only join us for part of the morning, your presence will mean a great deal.

🍎 Help the Auxiliary Grow Its Apple Tree!

From September 1 through October 3, Ocean Beaches Auxiliary Unit 129 will be raising money to help pay outstanding lunch balances for children at Mayport Elementary—a school that serves many local military families.

When a child has an unpaid lunch balance, they may receive an alternate cold lunch instead of a hot meal. With each school lunch costing $4.10, even a small donation can make a meaningful difference.

To participate, purchase a $5, $10, $25, or $50 apple from the bartender. Write your name or a special message on it, then add it to our tree and help us watch it grow!

Every gift helps provide a child with a hot meal so they can concentrate, learn, and do their best. Please help us support our community—one apple at a time!

Join American Legion Auxiliary Unit 129 on Saturday, November 14, from 10 AM–3 PM for a festive day of holiday shopping and community spirit!

Admission and parking are free, so bring the whole family and enjoy some holiday magic!

Proceeds will help support our Children’s Christmas Party, bringing joy to local children this holiday season.

One of the greatest strengths of Post 129 has always been neighbors helping neighbors.

We're creating a Helping Hands email list of members who are willing to lend a hand when another member, veteran, or their family needs a little extra support.

Needs may include rides to medical appointments, delivering a meal, running errands, friendly visits, or other simple acts of kindness.

There is no ongoing commitment and no obligation to help with every request. When a need arises, we'll send an email with the details, and you can volunteer if you're available.

We wanted to take a moment to share a small update to our Monday and Thursday drink specials. And a small adjustment to our Tuesdays BOGO special.

While our previous specials were a great deal, they weren’t quite bringing in the crowd we hoped for. Rather than let those nights go quiet, we decided to switch things up and try something new that we think will be more fun, more social, and a better reason to come out with friends.
