Good evening First Baptist!
Well, I do not pretend to know the depths of God's sense of humor but the weather outside today is just divine as compared to last weekend. Our Memorial Day picnic was a success, with Hien and Aidan winning the balloon toss (barely, because Doris and Hilary gave them a good run!) and we were blessed to baptize both Aidan and Elise during morning worship!
As for the pie contest, Aidan Huynh and Melody Wolfe took first place with their cinnamon roll apple pie, and the Dedoes were a close second!
What a week!
And, thankfully, this week is a little less intense.
But, before we turn to our schedule for this week, allow me to share a joke.
What do you get when you combine an elephant with a fish?
Swimming trunks!
. . . . .
If you didn't laugh, just remember that Jonathan Peske used that
"knock knock orange" joke in morning worship a few weeks ago.
