Dear Saint Rose Families,

What an action packed week at Saint Rose. The Saint Rose Middle School Ski Trip finally happened! It was a great day and the students were outstanding. Thank you to everyone that helped to make the day possible. The Ash Wednesday Mass in the school gym was a positive start to Lent for our school community. Thank you to Monsignor Singler for leading our community.  
Today the third grade presented their Culture Day Projects to the school and their parents. This is always a big event. We will have pictures in next week's newsletter.

Keep Christ in Christmas Winner
Council 7978 is thrilled to announce that Sadie Molnar from Saint Rose School won the 2022 Knights of Columbus District "Keep Christ in Christmas" poster contest!
During the month of December 2022, Sadie will have her picture on two billboard locations; Anthony Wayne Trail at South Avenue and RT 199 at Carronade roundabout.

Ski Trip....Finally!

The Saint Rose Middle School recently had its annual ski trip. The trip had to be rescheduled a number of times due to weather conditions. The day ended up being a great experience. Many students made the transition from their introductory ski lesson to black diamonds all in one day!
St. Rose Right to Read Week and Book Drive
 St. Rose will be partnering with Gathering Volumes for a book drive to benefit Reach Out & Read as a part of our Right to Read Week.

Book Drive February 17-March 11th
Please consider donating a book for
Reach Out & Read. 

Reach Out & Read works with Promedica clinics, offices and physicians to deliver books and services to children birth to 5 years. Their mission is to integrate reading into pediatric practices and to provide books to communities in need. To donate, you may choose a book from Reach Out and Read's Amazon Wish List or choose from books specifically curated for our St. Rose Book Drive at Gathering Volumes. Any books purchased at Gathering Volumes may be brought to school with your child through Right to Read Week.
Academic Assistance Program
St. Elizabeth Academic Assistance Program or A2 Program will start next week. A2 provides free academic assistance to any Saint Rose student in grades 4-8. It meets every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3:30 until 4:45 in the school library. Saint Rose intervention specialists, Mrs. Barbara Houck and Mrs. Jody Ward will run this program. A2 is for students of all academic levels. Students must bring their books and supplies with them and be prepared to learn and work. Parents must sign out their students from the library when they leave. Students not picked up by 4:45 will be taken to Extended Day. Families will then be charged for any Extended Day services after 4:45. Saint Rose is happy to provide this free service to our families to help each student reach his/her fullest potential.

Night with the Knights Scholarship Fundraiser
Monsignor Robert Yates Assembly 2800 is having their annual
"Night with the Knights" Fundraiser
to support Catholic Education in Oregon, Perrysburg, Rossford, Maumee and Bowling Green. 
The Main Event is a Reverse raffle. There are several side items to bid on also, such as lottery trees, gift baskets & 50/50. 

Tickets are $30 for a dinner and entry into the Reverse raffle and $20 for dinner only. 

Proceeds from this event are distributed based on ticket sales to the Catholic schools in our area.
