Daily Inspiration
Proverbs 17:17
“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.”

Being a friend means being a friend at all times. How often we hear our children say to each other, “I’m not your friend,” or “I’m not speaking to you anymore.” We want our children to be a friend at all times.
Pray that our children learn how to be a good friend and treat their friends with love like family.

Middle School iPad Information - *UPDATED

Middle School iPad Meeting
Join Mrs. Linder to hear the details of the Middle School iPad program on Tuesday, August 18th. Details of the meeting will include the purpose and care of the iPads and the requirements of the program. Parents of returning 7th or 8th-grade students do not need to attend the meeting. There have not been any changes to the Middle School iPad Acceptable Use Policy for the upcoming year. The meeting will begin at 6:00 pm in the school cafeteria (Sacred Heart Center).

Devices From Home
If your student(s) utilizes a device from home, it will need to be dropped off to allow time for Mrs. Linder to reinstall the management system for the school year. Devices can be dropped off in the school office with Mrs. Rakosik between 9:00 am - 3:00 pm Monday through Friday. If the device is signed into an Apple ID, please make sure that the device is signed out before turning it in.

Fees
If you have not yet paid the yearly fee for your student’s iPad, please do so in the school office before coming to pick up your student’s iPad. Fees can be paid in the school office with Mrs. Rakosik by cash or check. Please make checks payable to Saint Rose School. The office will be open from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday through Friday next week.

iPad Acceptable Use Policy
Prior to picking up your student’s iPad, please review the full iPad Acceptable Use Policy here. To acknowledge that you have read and agree to the policy, an agreement form will need to be signed for each student. You can print the iPad Policy agreement here. I will also have additional copies available to be signed during pickup if you are unable to print the form prior to your arrival.
Please note that all parents will sign in two places. Everyone, parent and student, will sign at the top of the page to acknowledge your agreement to the iPad policy. If you are using a school issued device, a signature is required to acknowledge the Insurance and Financial Liability. If you are using a device from home, a signature is required to grant permission to manage the device throughout the school year.

iPad Pickup
iPads will be available for pickup on Tuesday August 18th from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm and Wednesday August 19th from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm in the computer lab. Please be sure to have all fees paid, reviewed the iPad Acceptable Use Policy, and have a case in hand when you arrive to pick up your student's iPad.

Saint Rose CYO - Fall Season

As we continue through the summer amidst the challenging times COVID-19 has presented we are still hoping to have the opportunity to participate in CYO sports. The partial update from our Diocese CYO office is outlined below. Based on recommendations we are still opening fall St Rose CYO sports registration to students and parishioners of St Rose and St John's XXIII.

"Please be assured that our diocesan CYO will be offering some version of sports for our youth this Fall. While we don't know today what those will be, what they will look like, or what modifications might be necessary, we are working hard to ensure our CYO kids have an opportunity to participate safely this Fall! We'll keep you updated in the coming days/weeks."

In the meantime, we are taking registrations for all of our fall CYO sports at St Rose but are not requiring payment at this time.

Sports include:
Cross Country (Gr. K-8), Flag Football (Gr. 3-4 boys), Volleyball (Gr. 3-12 girls), and Soccer. (Gr. 1-8)

Now is a great time to set appointments with your family doctor/physician for sports physicals. All athletes are required to have on file an updated Athletic Contract prior to the first practice.

Please submit to the athletic director via email or the parish office: wagner@saintroseonline.org / 215 E Front St. Perrysburg, Ohio 43551

Athletes are NOT able to participate in practice or games without this contract which includes a valid doctor/physician signature.
