Dear Saint Rose Families,
I am a fan of snow and winter weather. While we have not been blessed with any major winter weather, I want to remind you that we will work with Perrysburg Schools to determine if we have a delay or cancellation. Saint Rose will delay or cancel anytime that Perrysburg delays or cancels. Saint Rose will need to make an independent determination on Mondays since Perrysburg is remote on Mondays. Please watch for Saint Rose School through your local tv news channel, our email system and through the Saint Rose Twitter feed.

Volunteers Needed!

Saint Rose is looking for parent volunteers to help with the faculty and staff COVID vaccine distribution.

We will need assistance with registration and check out, as well as a few medically trained individuals to administer the vaccine and observe recipients afterwards.

Service to the Elderly during the Pandemic

In response to the challenge of "How can we help build the Kingdom of God on Earth," two eighth grade boys have developed a note-writing campaign for residents at the Ursuline Center in Toledo.  The Ursuline Sisters staffed Saint Rose School for many decades.  

After researching the needs of the elderly and interviewing a psychiatrist, the boys created an electronic "sign-up" for parishioners and school families to commit to writing a letter to a resident at the Ursuline Center. Residents currently include 22 Ursuline and Notre Sisters, one priest-in-residence, and three Ursuline Associates.

Volunteers can sign up to send a cheerful note through the postal service, and an electronic reminder will be sent to the volunteer.  Volunteers are encouraged to sign up for multiple weeks.

Happening Around Saint Rose
Second grade is getting started on their annual fairy tale project so they decided to have, "Fairy Tales and Flashlights Friday". Students made their desks into tents, brought a stuffed animal friend, and spent a little time quietly reading fairy tales with flashlights!
