Dear Saint Rose Families,

Last Friday the Saint Rose faculty and staff attended a retreat. We gathered at Saint Rose for a prayer service and then headed off in small groups to perform Christian Service around our community. I was fortunate to be assigned to the Perrysburg Commons where I got to know a small group of assisted living friends.  I worked with "Grandma  Sunshine" on a craft project. We both had a wonderful time.  Other groups went to Sunshine to paint a room, and to Helping Hands of St. Louis to help serve meals.  Our day ended at St. John XXIII for a Mass presided by Fr. David Kidd.  It was a great day of service and faith.

3rd Grade Class Mass

Come join other families with students in Grade 3 at 9:00 am Mass on March 3.  Together with the larger Saint Rose family, you can create bonds of friendship as you worship together.  After the Mass, enjoy a simple reception in the Sacred Heart Center (school cafeteria).  One family is asked to volunteer to bring up the Offertory gifts, and several families are asked to serve as greeters before Mass (arrive at 8:45 am).

Please CLICK HERE to RSVP for the Mass and reception.  Seating will be reserved in the front pews on the Saint Joseph side of church.

Tutoring Opportunities

Middle School Tutoring Volunteers
Earlier this year 8th grade students ran a project where they tutored  younger Saint Rose students after school from 3:30-4:15.  This was well received and in meeting with 8th grade students they mentioned the desire to continue the tutoring.  Here is an opportunity for 7th and 8th grade students to tutor and help younger Saint Rose students with their basic studies.

If your 7th or 8th grader is interested in tutoring, please CLICK HERE to sign up

After School Tutoring for grades K-6
Saint Rose and SJJA 7th and 8th grade students will volunteer to tutor Saint Rose students in grades K-6 after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:15.  Students will need to be picked up by 4:15 or attend after care.  This is a great opportunity for free tutoring for our students. Spaces will be limited. The tutoring will take place in the school office.

If you are interested in tutoring for your child, please CLICK HERE to reserve a time

Saint Rose School theme for the year:

Love Life!

February Theme: Racism

"As a body is one though it has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though many, are one body, so also Christ.  For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free persons, and we were all given to drink of one Spirit."   1 Corinthians 12:12-13

Loving Life includes loving all of God's Children.
This month the Saint Rose School theme focuses on Racism.
Money collected on Mass days and for alternate dress will be donated to the Black Catholic Ministries of the Diocese of Toledo.

Thank you for your generosity.

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops issued a pastoral letter in November 2018 regarding racism.
