DEADLINE APPROACHING

LAST CHANCE TO NOMINATE YOUR COWORKERS FOR THE 2024 SERVICE AWARD

Winners of last year's Annual Service Award below:

Pictured (L to R): Vanessa Z (Nursing); Nicole W (Residential Direct Care), Elisabeth D (Human Resources), Emily H (Residential QIDP), Regina M (Residential Direct Care) who were Misericordia’s Service Award Winners from 2023.

As we begin to wrap up the year 2024, we especially want to remind you about the Annual Service Award, awarded to a selection of staff each year for their exceptional demonstration of Misericordia’s mission and values. This year we will follow a new submission process for nominees, which is to share a story about the person you would like to nominate — anyone from any work area can be nominated!

We are looking for a story (no word limit) that not only highlights our core mission and values but also captures the positive impact our exceptional staff has on the Misericordia community. Whether it's about a time of compassion, going above and beyond, demonstrating creativity and innovation, teamwork, overcoming challenges, or instilling hope in others, we want to hear how a specific colleague of yours put these actions into play this year through your point of view!

Please click here to submit your nominations online. Paper copies will be available at HR.

MAKE AN IMPACT

APPLICATIONS FOR CULTURAL AMBASSADORS PROGRAM ARE OPEN

Misericordia has launched a community engagement and employee initiative called the Cultural Ambassadors program. The purpose of this program is to foster a culture of connection and community through fun, creative, and supportive workplace initiatives. There will also be built-in opportunities to dedicate time to continuous learning and professional development.

Ideally, members should meet some of the following qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of employment

PARKING MEMO

RECREATION CENTER

The groundbreaking ceremony for the new addition, to the Moore Aquatics Center, was this past weekend. As excited as we are for the new space, we know that on-campus construction comes with some challenges. We are asking staff to not park in the Moore Aquatics parking lot until further notice. We need this particular parking lot to store needed construction materials and for the CILA vehicles, end of day, pickups. There will only be one way to enter and exit this parking lot so we need it clear for the CILA staff to safely pick up residents. As construction continues, and Rosemary Park opens, there will be additional communication in efforts to monitor the safety of our residents. We apologize for the inconvenience but it is necessary. Thanks for your cooperation.

ADP SECURITY TAKEOVER

The industry has seen an increase in sophisticated cyber activity where fraudsters try to trick users into compromising their sign-on credentials on malicious websites that look strikingly similar to, sometimes an exact duplicate of a legitimate website.

Please click here for important tips that can help reduce this kind of fraud.
