We recently received this prayer request from Abe and Diane Bible who are serving in Ukraine: "Pray that God would use this pandemic as a mighty force to draw people to Him. We do not have the medical resources here that the West does. Many people will die through this, whether it is ever identified correctly as COVID-19 or not. May God use the fear of death to draw people to our Living Hope."

The COVID-19 Congregational Relief Fund provides grants to help church communities that may not have the means to recover from the unprecedented COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

The fund will accept grant requests of up to $5,000 each. Recipient churches may use the grants to meet their congregational financial needs (such as rent, mortgage, utilities, staff salaries, etc.) or to assist families and individuals in their midst. Priority will be given to racially and ethnically diverse churches serving in historically under-resourced communities, i.e. communities and households that are underbanked, underinsured, and/or uninsured.

Quotes for the Week

" I have learned to kiss the wave that throws me against the Rock of Ages. "
- Charles Spurgeon

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that will never perish, spoil, or fade. ... In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith - of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire - may result in praise, glory, and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed." - 1 Peter 1:3-4a, 6-7 (ESV)
