December 5, 2018
As your church prepares for Christmas, we would love to see pictures and share about special events at your church! Please send pictures and information to Julia McDonald at jmcdonald@efcer.org.
Christmas at Malone: All is Calm
Usher in the holiday season as the Malone University Department of Music presents Christmas at Malone: All is Calm on December 7 and 8, 2018, at 7:30pm. This much-loved concert combines Scripture and music in a joyful celebration of the Lord’s nativity. Ticket are available at www.malone.edu/christmas
WMF Booklist
The WMF Booklist is back! Follow this link to see the list of books on Amazon. The list is large this year to make up for not having one for a couple years. You do not have to purchase all of the books, just the ones your group wants to read. There is not a contract with Lion and Lamb Bookstore, but they may have some of the books in stock. Your church will be receiving the  Circle of Friends Newsletter  soon, which will have the list attached. Thanks to everyone who reads their heart out to make the list possible! Contact Megan Condo at 330-472-0615 with questions.
1) Our deepest condolences and prayers for the family of former Friends pastor Tim Satterfield, who passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 1, in Burlington, NC. The obituary is available here.
1) Upgrading your sound equipment? We are looking for good, used personal PA receivers from Williams Sound. If you have equipment you are no longer using, please call Julie Jenkins at the Evangelical Friends Headquarters at 330-493-1660.

2) Many of our churches remember our missionaries during Christmas. If you are planning to send Christmas cards to our missionaries, please send the cards directly to them, not to the Evangelical Friends Headquarters. If you need addresses, please contact Julie Jenkins (jjenkins@efcer.org) and she will get those to you. Please do not include checks in your cards.

Quote for the Week

"There are far, far better things ahead than anything we leave behind." - C.S Lewis

"But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like His glorious body, by the power that enables Him even to subject all things to Himself." - Philippians 3:20-21 (ESV)
