January 2, 2019
All Things New - Pray for   our church leaders and mission partners to lead with confidence, clarity, and conviction to expand God’s kingdom in 2019. “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust Him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” - Romans 15:13
Friends Summit 2018
The Spirit of God was present in wonderful ways at Friends Summit 2018 as over 300 EFC young adults were challenged with God's kingdom, mission, and passion. Please continue to pray for revival to spread across our yearly meetings.
We remember the family of Arline S. Voltz, who passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018. Arline served in various areas of ministry, including as an elder at Canton First Friends Church. In their retirement years, Arline and Bud pastored the Milan Friends Church before serving as visitation pastors at Orange Friends Church until 2005. A memorial service for Arline is planned for March 2, 2019, one day after what would have been her 100th birthday. The service will be held at Orange Friends Church in Lewis Center, OH. You can find the obituary here.
NEW -  Mutual of Omaha - We are still waiting for several pastors to submit their new Mutual of Omaha insurance forms for life insurance and long-term disability coverage. Please email those completed forms to Marie Hagin ([email protected]) ASAP. Call Julie Jenkins if you have questions.

Quote for the Week

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to His great mercy, He has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved with various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith - more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire - may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ."
- 1 Peter 1:1-7 (ESV)
