Nepal/ India  - Pastor Matt Bradbury (Pelham Friends) is visiting Nepal on behalf of EFM and India on behalf of EFC-ER. Please pray for protection in his travels and wisdom as he provides encouragement to the pastors and churches that he visits (Romans 1:11-12).
Pastor Gnanaprakash   passed away on Monday (11/5) when he was hit by a speeding van while taking his daughter to school on his motorbike. His 11-year old daughter survived with minimal injuries. Pastor Gnanaprakash served for 19 years with Arun Massey and was a great soul winner and caring pastor. His passion for God was demonstrated after his release from prison for witnessing when he declared ”Even if I have to die I will not stop preaching the gospel.” Please pray for his wife Usha and his daughter, Prarthana (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). Memorial gifts may be sent to the Evangelical Friends Headquarters marked “India Memorial” or given online  to assist the family and further support our ministry in India.

Please pray for Gabriel Massey (India) as he undergoes emergency surgery today.

EFM 2018 Christmas Catalog
" One of the best ways we can celebrate Christmas is by paying attention to our neighbors. Most often our neighbors are those who live close by. Sometimes, however, our neighbors are on the other side of the world. Perhaps we cannot be with them physically, but we can share some of our God-given resources with them. A Christmas catalog like this one provides a way for us to do that. My challenge to you this Christmas season is to do something special with one of your neighbors who lives close by, and that you also do something special for a neighbor on the other side of the world by using this catalog. May the Lord use these gifts to draw your neighbors closer to himself."

Malone University: A Commemorative History, 1892-2017
Jacci Stuckey, professor at Malone University, member of Jackson Friends Church, and chair of the EFC-ER/ Malone University Archives Committee, has written a book that tells the story of Malone University. From the book description: "This commemorative book charts the journey of Malone University from its beginnings in a small rented house, through moves to two campus locations in Cleveland and finally, to its current home in Canton, Ohio. It traces Malone's history from the six adventurous souls who first enrolled on that brisk March day in 1892 to the two thousand who presently attend Malone University." You can purchase a copy of the book at this link .
Quotes for the Week

"Crucial to our worship is remembering we were once slaves to sin,
but Christ has set us free." - Chuck Swindoll

"But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 6:22-23 (NIV)
