A Message From The Chamber Office
Dear Chamber Members and Friends,

Have you completed the 2020 Census? Montco is at 74.1% for its Census response rate as of this week; we’re behind Chester and Bucks Counties. You can view the latest response rate at the county and community level here. Census results help determine how billions of dollars in federal funding flow into states and communities each year. With just a 5% undercount in 2020, we could lose $72,336,780 annually in funding for Montgomery County schools, infrastructure, Medicaid, SNAP, housing choice vouchers, head start, senior programs, and more! Take Census here.

Did you know Round 2 of Pennsylvania's COVID-19 Relief Fund Program opened this week? The program will distribute $225 Million in grants ranging from $5,000 to $50,000 to qualifying small businesses (fewer than 25 employees and under $1M revenue) that have been economically impacted by COVID-19. All applications must be made through a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) in the county where their business is located. Application window closes on August 28th. Read more about this program and the 30 Day Fund on the Chamber's COVID-19 Resource Hu

Last week's Virtual Community Town Hall Zoom Meeting "The Science Behind COVID-19", featuring Dr. Brian J. Broker, was a huge success. The program was close to 1/5 hours long. If you missed the program, you can click here to view the slide show and listen to the last 1/2 hour of Q&A. The program will be recorded. Program recorded will be available will be uploaded to PVCC's COVID-19 Webinar page in the next few days. In the meantime, you can download Dr. Broker's slide show by clicking here. Due to the success and overwhelming popular feedback of this program, another Town Hall with Dr. Broker will be scheduled soon.

Although we are disappointed our Annual Dow & Pfizer Business Expos were cancelled this year, we are developing a virtual program to showcase member offers. Program details will be announced in September.

Thank you to our members for renewing their membership this year. If you did not receive a renewal notice or would like to set up a paymet plan or learn about COVID-19 discounts, please call the Chamber office. We have plans to meet all budgets and financial constraints during this challenging time. Renewing your Chamber membership enables us to continue to advocate for business, develop programs and initiatives to help you stay connected and build relationships, promote local business and lead members through the recovery phase of COVID-19.

Stay safe and healthy!
