Public Meeting Held for 2012-18 Chestnut St
On Wednesday, January 13, 2021, CCRA hosted a community meeting regarding the Alterra Properties building project located at 2012-18 Chestnut St.

Questions were asked and answered. However, public comments will be accepted through email until Jan 20, 2021. Email public comments regarding this development to centercity@centercityresidents.org with "Alterra Properties" in the subject line.

CCRA Virtual Board of Directors Meeting
Tuesday, January 12, 2021, 6 pm

On Tuesday, January 12, CCRA held its monthly board meeting. At the meeting, a letter to the Phila. Historical Commission (PHC) regarding the properties on the 1700 block of Walnut Street - damaged by fire on May 31, 2020. All documents are ready to review on our website.

Winner of the Ongava Safari Trip to Namibia Announced
At the board meeting on Tuesday, we picked the lucky person who will be going to Namibia. We recorded a clip at the board meeting and posted it to our YouTube Channel.

We want to thank everyone who participated in the raffle and those who donated to the sidewalk cleaning appeal. Our "Green Star Donors" will be acknowledged in the Spring edition of the CCQ newsletter.

Office Closure

In observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King holiday, CCRA is closed on Monday, January 18. The office will reopen on Tuesday, January 19.
Trash Collection

In observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King holiday, no trash will be collected on Monday, January 18. City Collection will resume on Tuesday, January 19.

Pandemic’s Essential Workers: Behind the Faces
Everyone has seen the faces of the pandemic’s essential workers, and many have wondered: How do they do it? What are their lives like? Photographer Kyle Cassidy asked those questions, and then went out and got answers. The result is an outdoor (and online) exhibition at the Science History Institute.

Free and Discounted Ice Skating

Rothman Ice Rink at Dilworth Park near City Hall offers FREE admission and skate rental to adults every Tuesday from 12 noon to 1 p.m. now through February 28.

College Student Skating Discount Presented by Temple University every Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. College students with a valid student ID pay $2 admission to skate and can purchase $2 hot chocolates. Skate rental not included.
Pandemic or No, Restaurants Still Rule in Rittenhouse
