Message from the CCRA President Maggie Mund
Last year, I and several other CCRA board members attended the Philadelphia Citizen’s Second Annual Ideas We Should Steal Festival . If you are not familiar with the Festival, the organizers convene several of the nation’s most innovative urban thinkers and global thought leaders sharing bold ideas that can move our city forward. The festival provided an inspiring look at how others have solved pressing social problems with the mantra “It can happen here”.
I am pleased to tell you that this year CCRA is a community sponsor of the Third Annual Ideas We Should Steal Festival, which means our members are entitled to a 33% discount on tickets. And this year’s festival is all online, making attendance even easier. The festival will be held on the first four Tuesdays in December, from 5:30-7:30pm, December 1, 8, 15, 22; guests may attend one week or all four weeks.
Panels will address changing police culture, curbing gun violence, moving the needle on poverty, using capitalism for good, and art as a force for social change.
