You have questions; We’ll have answers!

On March 16 at 5 pm, CCRA has partnered with Thomas Jefferson University Hospital for a Town Hall focusing on the risks and rewards of being one of the lucky recipients of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Our featured speaker is Sandra Brooks, M.D, Chief Medical Officer at Jefferson Hospitals.

Join the discussion if you have questions like:
· What’s safe, what’s not?
· What about indoor shopping, dining?
· Can we finally visit our family, older friends, and family?
· Who can be at our table, especially for the upcoming spring holidays?
· How about if I’m living with someone who hasn’t yet been vaccinated?

Click the Zoom link below on March 16 to find out the answers and ask any other questions through the chat room.

It’s an open forum, so feel free to share this email with anyone you think might benefit.
We want to thank Philadelphia FIGHT, Independence Blue Cross, Global Philadelphia Association, Washington West, Independence Business Alliance, and Councilmember Kenyatta Johnson's Office, for their support in promoting this event.
CCRA Board Meeting

On Tuesday, March 9, CCRA held its monthly board meeting. Among other topics, the board brainstormed how to further implement our mission as a neighborhood organization in post-Covid Philadelphia. Many innovative and much-needed new ideas were discussed to build back our beleaguered city and ready it for emergence from a challenging year. Once vetted, all new initiatives will be shared in the e-news. Stay tuned!

All of the documents that were reviewed are on our website.
There's still time! Tell us what you think
Got an opinion on the subject? Of course, you do; you’re a Philadelphian. And you know what you can do with that opinion? Take a survey of your thoughts, courtesy of the CCRA Historic Preservation Committee. Now is the time to be heard. You can thank us later.
Wanted: New Zoning Committee Members
The Zoning Committee is now seeking applications to join this active group. Meetings are once a month, and active participation is required. Community engagement is a must; knowledge of the zoning code can be learned on the job. You must be a CCRA Member.

If interested, please send your bio/resume to Operations Manager Travis Oliver - with the subject line "Zoning Committee."
LAST CHANCE! Wanted Now: Board Member Candidates
CCRA is looking to fill several Board seats for our fiscal year beginning July 1, 2021. Board members generally serve a term of 3 years. The Board is a working Board. We are seeking CCRA members who have a passion for living in “CCRAville;” are interested in issues of quality of life and community service, and are committed to active Board participation. Successful candidates must serve on at least one committee and agree to fulfill the responsibilities set forth in our Board Pledge, which includes devoting at least four hours per month on CCRA activities, not including time spent attending, and preparing for, monthly Board meetings. Click for full Board Pledge and List of Committees.

Interested members are encouraged to forward a statement of interest that includes a summary of qualifications, as well as a resume or bio, by Friday, March 19 to: centercity@centercityresidents.org, with "Board Candidate" in the subject line. (We also welcome your suggestion of any individuals who reside in CCRAville who you believe would be assets to the Board. Be sure to include their email address and/or phone number.)
