A Message From The Chamber Office
|
|
Dear Chamber Members and Friends,
I hope you are staying healthy and safe.
I have been so touched by stories of residents and businesses that are helping one another during this crisis. Sewing masks, ordering from retailers offering curbside and delivery options, paying it forward with the purchase of gift cards, donating to our local food banks, checking on the elderly and generously donating meals and snacks to our first responders and healthcare workers - all of this helps to lift spirits and keep businesses afloat. Thank you!
Thank you to our community banks
that are working with local business owners to provide guidance and support to help secure grants and loans through the CARE's Act. We are hearing from small businesses that received funds through the first round of PPP and EIDL loans and grants.
SBA opened a second round of funding this week.
Please be aware of
scams
targeting small business owners
during these already challenging times.
The SBA offers some guidance regarding how they work and what activities should throw up a red flag
warning you that you should suspect fraud.
Although Montgomery County will be one of the last in the region to move from RED to YELLOW, we will begin seeing guidelines for reopening businesses in the next few weeks. As you know,
golf courses, marinas, and private campgrounds
may reopen tomorrow, May 1st, and are required to follow updated
life-sustaining business guidance.
mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Additionally, all businesses in the
construction industry
in the Commonwealth are permitted to resume in-person operations starting Friday, May 1st and must follow
Construction Industry COVID-19 Disaster Emergency Guidelines
.
If you have questions about relief programs, mandates/guidelines, employment opportunities, UC questions, etc, please do not hesitate to contact the chamber office for assistance. 610-489-6660.
Membership Renewals:
To provide relief to our members, we deferred billing the April 1st membership renewals and
extended renewal due date to July 1st.
In addition, we will offer new payment plans and COVID-19 discounts. Details to follow in the next few weeks. Please reach out to the Chamber for assistance.
We will continue to provide our small business owners and employees with resources to carry them through this period;
time-sensitive announcements/resource links
can be found in
email messages
sent from PV Chamber
.
Visit the
COVID-19 Resource Hub
for links to find answers to FAQ, local deals and
positive things
happening in our community!
Next week, we will announce details for
a new program
to support our local restaurants, shops and small businesses during COVID-19 shutdown.

Sincerely,
Renee Blomstrom
