A Message From The Chamber Office
|
|
Dear Chamber Members and Friends,
I hope to see you at the Kona Ice Networking Hour on Thursday, May 13th at 4pm! Please park in the lot behind Trappe Borough building (525 W. Main Street, Trappe) and walk through the park to where you will see the Kona Ice truck. be sure to pickup information about the PV Chamber's upcoming events, including our very first Father's Day T-Shirt Sale!
In a press release today, Governor Wolf’s office said the event and gathering maximum occupancy limits will be increased to 50 percent for indoor events and gatherings and 75 percent for outdoor events and gatherings effective next Monday at 12:01 a.m. Presently the current limit is 25% for indoor events and gatherings and 50% for outdoor. Municipalities, school districts, restaurants and venues will be able to implement their own, stricter mitigation measures, if desired. An event or gathering is defined as a temporary grouping of individuals for defined purposes, that takes place over a limited timeframe, such as hours or days. For example, events and gatherings include fairs, festivals, concerts or shows and groupings that occur within larger, more permanent businesses, such as shows or performances within amusements parks, individual showings of movies on a single screen/auditorium within a multiplex, business meetings or conferences, or each party or reception within a multiroom venue.

MontcoStrong 2021 PA Hospitality Industry Recovery Program
Applications are still being accepted for the MontcoStrong 2021 Pennsylvania Hospitality Industry Recovery Program (sometimes referred to as “CHIRP” statewide). To apply, interested applicants should review the program guidelines and other information at www.montcopa.org/PAHIRP. Please note that earlier today DCED put out a social media post that made it seem like the program was closing statewide soon – that is not the case in Montgomery County and other counties in the region.
**One item to note on eligibility, many businesses are unsure of their NAICS code. Often times, without connecting the two concepts, this code is already in their possession as the “Business Activity” code they are putting on their business tax returns.
