COLLECT AND READINGS
Almighty God, you alone can bring into order the unruly wills and affections of sinners: Grant your people grace to love what you command and desire what you promise; that, among the swift and varied changes of the world, our hearts may surely there be fixed where true joys are to be found; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
Amen.

A Morsel for Meditation
Without your wounds where would your power be?…The very angels themselves cannot persuade the wretched and blundering children on earth as can one human being broken on the wheels of living. In love’s service, only the wounded soldiers can serve. - Thornton Wilder, “The Angel that Troubled the Waters” in
The Collected Short Plays of Thornton Wilder
The poet Stifter once said, “Pain is a holy angel, who shows treasures to people which would otherwise remain forever hidden; through him people have become greater than through all the joys of the world.” It must be so and I tell myself this in my present [imprisioned] situation over and over again. The pain of suffering and of longing, which can often be felt even physically, must be there, and we cannot and need not talk it away. But it needs to be overcome every time, and thus there is an even holier angel than the one of pain; that is, the one of joy in God. - Dietrich Bonhoeffer, “The Martyred Christian: 160 Readings”

Jews for Jesus invites you to celebrate
Christ in the Passover
in a special, one-hour, livestream experience! Normally, we’d be sharing this presentation in churches around the world, but in light of the current global crisis, we are offering an exciting online alternative.
Together, we will explore the link between the ancient Jewish feast of Passover and the last supper Jesus shared with His disciples. You’ll get to meet some of our Jewish staff from around the world, hear their life-changing stories, and even have a chance to ask your own questions through an interactive Q&A!

MATCH MAKER
’ UPDATE
Thank you to everyone who have volunteered to help those who are unable to leave their homes.
If you missed it, 'Match Maker' is not a dating app, instead a way for people with needs to connect with those who can help out.
We have a number of people in the high risk group, and others who are either off work, or on abbreviated schedules. To this end, I’ll be the initial point of contact for those who have needs and those who can help.
If you have a need for someone to bring you supplies, need transportation, emergency repairs, or other essential tasks, please email me at
fathernickfunk@gmail.com
.
If you are able to bring someone supplies, offer transportation, do emergency repairs, or help with other essential tasks, please email me at
fathernickfunk@gmail.com
.
I’ll do what I can to be the ‘match maker’ for the need and the helper.

STEWARDSHIP TODAY
Frank McKee
At every service of worship at St. Paul’s, we offer prayers of healing. Normally we give specific names; we also mention those known only in the hearts of the worshipers. Please say a prayer for those affected by the CORVID 19 virus. It is a terrible thing that has come upon our world. Pray for those working hard to overcome this terrible virus outbreak.

DOK PRAYER REQUESTS & BOX
The Daughters of the King
support your prayer needs and wishes. Each Sunday a prayer team will be available to pray with you after the Worship Service in the choir area after the 10:30 service. If you would like additional information, please see a DOK member.
They also have a intercessory prayer box on the table in the Narthex to deposit prayer requests. Prayer request cards may be found in the pews and beside the box in the Narthex. Daughters pray daily. All prayers are confidential. Each person is prayed for one month. If you wish for continued prayers, please complete another request card or contact a Daughter. You may call the church office (903-455-5030) and specify it is for the DOK intercessory prayer list. You can hand the card to a Daughter (she is always wearing her cross).
