COLLECT of SS. PETER AND PAUL
O Lord, make us have perpetual love and reverence for your holy Name, for you never fail to help and govern those whom you have set upon the sure foundation of your lovingkindness; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Rector's Update - June 26th

Greetings to the saints of St. Paul’s,
This Sunday we’ll celebrate the Feast of Ss. Peter and PAUL!
We’ll have BBQ lamb, and whatever other goodies show up. We’re also going to be cognizant of physical distancing and cleaning. This will mean that the tables will be more spread out, and we’ll have masks (when not eating).
I’m going to have my laptop at one of the tables for a Zoom Coffee Hour, where those who can’t make it will be able to connect with the parish (log-in info below). Those who come to the church building on Sundays have found that the seating is first come, first seated, and happily everyone has gotten a seat in the church. We’re going to continue with our online streaming for the foreseeable future for those who aren’t ready to return (and continuing delivery of remote Eucharist). I’m adding a new portion to our Announcement/Prayer section: ‘Hospitalized, Rehab, or recovering at home.’ This will not be for those in long-term care. This will list those person(s) who have both alerted the church, and given permission for their name to be listed. If you know of someone who should be on the list, they either have not contacted the church, or not given permission for their name to be listed.
Here’s St. Paul’s news for the week:
“For the City” happened last weekend. We had a great turnout for our prayer walk: 21 people! Others did construction and cleanup. Check out the pictures on our Facebook page and the Herald Banner.
The St. Paul’s Zoom Meeting may be found at

We are offering Noonday Prayer on Wednesdays at noon via a Zoom meeting, and upload it live if Zoom and Facebook work together (right now, it’s below 50% success rate).
Friday morning Bible Study continues at 8:00 via Zoom. We’re studying 1 Corinthians.
Hospitalized, Rehab, or recovering at home
: Dolores Miltenberger, Angela Dryer and Dana Medford.
Peace,

St. Paul
An enemy whom God has made a friend,
A righteous man discounting righteousness,
Last to believe and first for God to send,
He found the fountain in the wilderness.
Thrown to the ground and raised at the same moment,
A prisoner who set his captors free,
A naked man with love his only garment,
A blinded man who helped the world to see,
A Jew who had been perfect in the Law,
Blesses the flesh of every other race
And helps them see what the apostles saw –
The glory of the Lord in Jesus' face;
Strong in his weakness, joyful in his pains,
And bound by Love, who freed him from his chains.

DOK PRAYER REQUESTS & BOX
The Daughters of the King
support your prayer needs and wishes. Each Sunday a prayer team will be available to pray with you after the Worship Service in the choir area after the 10:30 service. If you would like additional information, please see a DOK member.
They also have a intercessory prayer box on the table in the Narthex to deposit prayer requests. Prayer request cards may be found in the pews and beside the box in the Narthex. Daughters pray daily. All prayers are confidential. Each person is prayed for one month. If you wish for continued prayers, please complete another request card or contact a Daughter.
You may call the church office
(903-455-5030)
and specify it is for the DOK intercessory prayer list. You can hand the card to a Daughter (she is always wearing her cross).
