Dear Friends in Christ,
Earlier this week, we announced that our season of gathering online as a parish will continue for the foreseeable future, at least until North Carolina enters Phase III of the plan for re-opening. You can read more in my letter -
HERE
.
On Sunday, we celebrate Pentecost, remembering the promised gift of the Holy Spirit poured out upon the apostles. In worship, we'll read from both biblical accounts of this gift, one from the Acts of the Apostles and the other from the Gospel according to John.
As we prepare to celebrate this great festival day in the life of the Church and the gift of the Holy Spirit's abiding presence in our lives, Bishop McLoughlin has shared a message with the Diocese of Western North Carolina. The video is available below.
Faithfully,
Andrew+

Hospitality House
Hospitality House continues to serve those who are experiencing food and housing insecurity in our community. In addition to serving three meals daily, Hospitality House is a food pantry and emergency shelter.
As they continue to adapt practices in response to COVID-19, some new needs and opportunities to support their mission have come to our attention:
- Single-serve beverages (such as tea or lemonade), as well as disposable plates, cups, and cutlery, are being used for meals. These items can be dropped off or shipped directly to Hospitality House.
- Volunteers can also work in the gardens, away from the building, with a face mask and social distancing practices in place. Contact Volunteer Coordinator Clara Coffey via e-mail ([email protected])
- If you're visiting the Boone Farmer's Market, look for the Donation Station, to make a donation of local produce for Hospitality House clients.
