Words to Ponder

"Jesus ascends to heaven. The human life in which God has made himself most visible, most tangible, disappears from the human world in its former shape and is somehow absorbed into the endless life of God. And our humanity, all of it, goes with Jesus...into the heart of love where alone they can be healed and transfigured."

- Rowan Williams

Flower Offering Opportunities

Is there an important person or a significant event happening in your life? Is there an upcoming birthday or anniversary you would like to honor? Sponsoring the flowers placed at the altar each week is a great way to offer thanks for life’s many gifts. Many dates are available for 2021. Please contact Greta Wilson, parish administrator, for more information and available dates.

Joy in our Parish

Anna Eschbach, a former choir member who remains very dear to us, gave birth to a son on May 6, 2021. She and Jeremy Katalenic have named him John Phillip Katalenic.

As we become aware of births and deaths in the life of our parish community, this will be a space to share those announcements, as we have permission, so that we can pray for and support one another amidst all life's seasons.
Please contact Fr. Andrew to share announcements of joy or sorrow with the parish.

An Update on Re-Gathering

Peace be with you.  As we move into a new season of this pandemic, including an increased number of vaccinations within and around our community, Bishop McLoughlin has shared new guidance for in-person worship in the Diocese of Western North Carolina.
In the coming weeks, we will adapt to these new guidelines at St. Mary of the Hills...
