Words to Ponder...
“My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going. I do not see the road ahead of me. I cannot know for certain where it will end. Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think I am following your will does not mean I am actually doing so. But I believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you…I will not fear, for you are ever with me, and you will never leave me to face my perils alone.”
- Thomas Merton, Thoughts in Solitude: Meditations on the Spiritual Life

In a few short weeks, our worship space will be decorated with flowers to usher in the Easter season. For many, it is a tradition to make a gift toward flowers or to our music program in honor or memory of a loved one, to be acknowledged in the Easter bulletins. If you would like to do so, please complete the form below no later than March 28th. You may mail your donation to the church at PO Box 14, Blowing Rock, NC 28605 or use the button to complete the online form.

Stations of the Cross
Virginia Theological Seminary is pleased to offer a video version of The Way of the Cross and a reflection guide. Through scripture, art, and music, the video invites us to walk with Christians of every generation on a virtual pilgrimage, meditating on our Lord’s passion and death. Many people choose to make the Way of the Cross a part of their devotions during the season of Lent and the Stations are especially appropriate to be prayed on Fridays. The video is available to be prayed at any time and can be accessed by click on the image above.
