GREEN CONGREGATION CHALLENGE AND THE GREEN TEAM BIKE RACK PROJECT!
The Green Congregation Challenge Continues with our Hills Church Green Team's effort to move, paint and relocate the bike rack! It is the Green Team's hope that this will encourage more active transportation to the church and help lower our environmental impact!
Join the Green Team on Wednesday JUNE 7th from 6pm-7pm (tentatively/weather) on the front lawn of the church and help with this awesome ministry of the church! Reach out to Bonnie and Noele Roalsen or Rev. Anne Marie for more information ! |

Youth-led Backyard Ministries
Summer Garden Project Returns and is partnering with the Hills Church Green Team!
Donate vegetable seedlings and support this youth ministry/green team effort to provide fresh vegetables for the Wellesley Food Pantry!
Donate flowers (indigenous to the area) for our new pollinator garden!
The Hills Church Green Congregational Challenge is focusing on TWO awesome Summer Garden projects and partnering with our youth! Won't you join us too?
On Saturday June 10th, from 9am-11am (tentatively/weather) ALL AGES are invited to join Julia, Tina Andersson , Rev. Anne Marie and the Green Team at the Brookside Community Garden to collect donations of vegetable seedlings, bless the garden beds and plant vegetables! Sign up to help HERE.
If you cannot help in the garden on June 10th, simply drop by with vegetable plant donations between 9am-11am!

In our continuing efforts to increase the safety of the nursery school, staff and the church, the old code will be retired.
The code will be officially retired on May 22nd.

This summer we'll be organizing summer supper groups to have fun and get to know more members of the congregation.
Just sign up to participate and we'll put everyone into groups. Each group will meet once in June, once in July, and once in August.

The Hunger Outreach Team (Feed the Hungry Program) has accepted an invitation to serve lunch and worship at Common Cathedral on May 28, 2023.
Common Cathedral is an outdoor church which worships at Boston Common. The services are open to the public including houseless and undernourished people.
Please go to SignUp Genius to register to perform one (or more) of the following services: food shopping, meal preparation, and meal service at Boston Common.

The New Database is Coming! |

We are slowly transitioning into Realm, our new database. Realm is part of the ACS family but is more intuitive and easier to navigate.
You may have already noticed that you are unable to access the church online directory. You will be receiving (or already have) an email from Realm regarding privacy changes (which is part of the updating process). Once the system is in place, you will be able to adjust your privacy settings.
The staff is currently being trained. Once the staff has been trained and testing is complete, we will be rolling it out to members. To assist members, we will schedule some trainings.

Pride Picnic/Celebration Sunday
June 11th after worship
On Sunday June 11th during the 10am worship service the Hills Church will celebrate the end of our Family Ministries Program Year! Everyone (children and adults) who has participated in faith formative programs or who have served the church will be celebrated during this service! The Parish Life Ministry Team and the Board of Deacons will host our Annual All-Church Pride Picnic immediately after worship. (In case of rain, we will gather, undaunted, in the Assembly Room.) Come and enjoy the delectable results of our grill masters’ skill at flipping burgers (including veggie burgers) and grilling hot dogs to perfection! Then, enjoy a delicious dessert provided by the Deacons.

Are you ready for a summer adventure? Look no further than our church's Big Adventure Summer fun week! Our Big Adventure Summer fun week is open to kindergarten - 5th-grade kids, so bring your siblings, cousins, and friends along for the ride.
Join us for a journey filled with exciting games, creative crafts, uplifting music, and meaningful stories to inspire and challenge you to care for God’s creation. Partnering with friends from the Congregational Church of Needham UCC, you will experience a variety of thrilling STEM activities, earth service opportunities, epic scavenger hunts, wacky water games, and everything in between. And don't forget about our daily snack time, where you'll refuel with delicious treats and make new friends.
The adventure week takes place at three sites:
Monday & Tuesday - The Congregational Church of Needham UCC
Wednesday - Wellesley Hills Church
Thursday - Unity Farm Sanctuary, Sherborn
Friday - Wellesley Hills Church

Our Big Adventure Summer fun week (VBS) summer program needs volunteers willing to share their time and talents to help create a fun and memorable experience for our little ones. And let's be real, who doesn't love the chance to act like a kid again?
As a summer week volunteer, you'll get to lead games, crafts, and activities that will bring a smile to the faces of children from the community.

Saturday May 13th: 10am-12pm Cookie Baking with the Backyard Ministry Team, Just show up in the Assembly Room Kitchen with your favorite batch of premade cookie dough (enough to make 3 doz cookies)!
May 14th: Shaving Cream Wiffle Ball Tournament for a good CAUSE! $5.00 to play! 5:00pm-6:30pm. A messy game of slippery proportions! All proceeds to go towards supplies for service projects/trips! Location TBA.
May 21: We will leave Wellesley by 1:15pm. Join us as we bring food and supplies to those facing food insecurity and homelessness with the Outdoor Church in Cambridge from 2-5pm. Text Rev Anne Marie as space is limited! 508-404-0287.

June 4th: 2-3pm (Note the time change!)Garden Prep for the Community Garden Summer Project. For the past two years we have planted, grown and harvested fresh vegetables for the Food Pantry. Join us for opening day!
