Religious Education News
Unitarian Universalist Church of Canton

RE Mission
Our religious education program works
to create an accepting environment that empowers children and youth to explore their spirituality, celebrate diversity, and live our Unitarian Universalist values.
Family Ministry
We believe that families play a vital role in furthering this empowerment to explore and live our UU values. We are excited to support our families by offering ideas from the UUA's Tapestry of Faith program as well as graces and thought provoking questions related to the topics introduced during Sunday religious education classes. We hope you find this enjoyable and spiritually fulfilling for your whole family.
In RE Next Week
Our children and youth will hear the story of a woman preparing for a birth, celebrating Hanukkah, painting the  Lights on the River display, exploring  the idea of good and evil and discussing Guest at Your Table.   Check for details on our Facebook Page and website .

A Table Grace:
For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything your goodness sends, Thank you!
~ Adapted from a grace of Ralph Waldo Emerson by the Rev. Phil Lund, sung to the tune of "Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow"
A Chalice Lighting:
We come together (Bring hands together and clasp them in front of you.) To remind ourselves (Touch your index and middle fingers to your temple.) To treat all people kindly (Spread arms wide, encircling.) Because they are our brothers and sisters, (Fold your arms across your chest, in a hug.) To take good care of the earth, (Raise your arms above your head, in a circle.) Because it is our home, (Fold your arms, holding your elbows, and motion as though rocking a baby.) To live lives full of goodness and love, (Put both hands over your heart.) Because that is how we will make our world (Raise your arms above your head, in a circle.) The best place it can be. (Clap your hands quietly.)

May the following deepen and inspire your faith during the week ahead.
