From the Registrar's Office:

The deadline for parent/guardian Blackbaud updates, student medical record submissions, and student/parent/guardian handbook signatures has passed. In order for students to attend Walk-a-Thon and Homecoming, students must be up-to-date with all of these requirements. Any students who have missing requirements will be notified directly. For questions, please call the front office at 708-771-8383.

In-person Parent Teacher Conferences: Thursday, September 28 from 1:00 to 8:00 pm

We would like to invite all Blazer parents to join us for in-person first semester Parent Teacher Conferences on Thursday, September 28 from 1:00 to 8:00 pm. The conferences will allow you to have a brief personal conversation about your Blazer's achievements with each of their teachers. We would love to meet each of you personally and see you in our building. Students will have a noon dismissal that day to allow for conferences with you. Click here to make your appointment. Progress Reports to be sent via Blackbaud on September 22nd

September 22nd marks the halfway point of the first block of the 2023-24 school year. On this date, all teachers will send out - via a Blackbaud notification to students' and parents' / guardians' inboxes - a Progress Report to any student who has a low or failing grade. We define a "low grade" as a 77 % (C-) or lower. The objective of the Progress Report is to alert students and families that, while the block is halfway through, there are still several weeks remaining for the student to get extra help and improve her grade. Students and families should reach out directly to teachers for questions concerning grades. If you do not receive any Progress Reports, it means that your daughter is not receiving any grades lower than 78 %.

Reminder: This Friday's (9/22/23) Schedule for Walk-a-Thon

The building is open to students at 7:00 am and students report to Homeroom by 8:00 am
Students will return to Trinity from Walk-a-Thon by 12:00 pm and will be dismissed upon arrival
Trinity buses depart at 12:10 pm
The building closes to all students at 12:30 pm

Permission slips are due to Homeroom teachers TOMORROW (this is different than the Homecoming permission slip)!
Students do not need to collect their entire $175 in order to walk on Friday; donations are due October 9th
All students must participate in the Walkathon to be able to attend the Homecoming dance
Students should wear their Walkathon 23 pink t-shirt to school on Friday (they will be distributed by Thursday in homeroom)
Blazers should bring a reusable water bottle - it is going to be a warm day!

Students are competing for some awesome prizes! Remember, when they create their online fundraising account, they can share it on social media. Thus far, we have over 550 donors to Trinity High School and we're 1/2 way to our $56,000 goal! Let's go Blazers!

Spirit Week/Homecoming 2023

Spirit Week kicks off tomorrow! All week long, students are welcome to dress down in the Spirit Week theme of the day or in Trinity Wear! Please see page 24 of the Trinity High School Handbook for details about Out of Uniform/Trinity Wear Days. Additionally, Homecoming tickets are for sale Monday through Thursday in the small gym during 3A/B. All students purchasing tickets must have a signed permission form. College Planning

College Fair on Monday, September 18th, 6:30-8:00 pm @ St. Patrick High School. Trinity has partnered with Fenwick and St. Pats to co-host a College Fair. If you plan to attend you MUST register with StriveScan: https://app.strivescan.com/registration

Tuesday, September 19th from 6:30-8:00 pm

The College Application & Financial Aid Night is upon us. Senior class of 2024 attendance is required, and families are encouraged to attend. The program will take place in the Dr. Alice M. Fox Auditorium. Important information about the college application and financial aid process will be shared. The Associate Vice-President for Financial Aid at Lake Forest, Jerry Cebrzynski, will be presenting. If a student has an approved conflict (i.e., an athletic event), they must attend a make-up session on 9/20 during 3A/B in Boardroom 300.

College Rep Visits started this week and will run through October! Thank you to all the students who came to chat with the reps, they were all very impressed. Keep an eye out for the Daily Announcements to see what colleges will be on campus each week.

Mr. Lombardo and Ms. Denz will host an Essay Writing Workshop on Sept. 26th from 8-9:15 am. Students who are feeling stuck, don’t know where to start or just want some advice on their college essay(s) should attend.

Blazers Need Your Voice!

Invest in Kids, an important scholarship granting program that allows students from disadvantaged homes to attend quality private schools, is slated to sunset on December 31 unless state legislators approve an extension.

Trinity High School presently has 62 students on the waiting list who qualify for these scholarship dollars to attend Trinity. Unfortunately, this means that girls who want to be Blazers cannot afford to be Blazers. Our community is missing some amazing young women!

Please contact your state representative via THIS FORM and ask them to keep this very important program that allows parents to determine the best education for their daughters, regardless of the cost.
