Join Us at the College Fair: Families Welcome!

Meet college admissions representatives, compare options, and help your student plan what’s next. Families are invited to attend. Date: Friday, Nov. 21 Time: 2:30–3:30 p.m. Location: School Gym This is a great time to ask questions about applications, scholarships, and campus life—and to support your student’s path to being College Ready. New Phone & Headphone Policy Begins Monday

To support a focused learning environment and follow updated state guidelines, our new Cell Phone & Headphone Policy starts on Monday, November 17.

What students must do:

• 7:45–8:05 AM: Put phones and personal earbuds/headphones in assigned lockers.
• All day: Devices stay in lockers—not in pockets or backpacks.
• CWSP days: This rule also applies while students are at their Corporate Work Study placements.
• Lockers: New/late enrollees—see Mr. Robinson for a locker assignment.

If a student violates the policy:

• 1st time: Verbal warning
• 2nd time: One month with an assigned phone pouch and after-school detention
• 3rd time: Phone pouch for the rest of the year and behavior contract (parent conference required)
• Further or repeated violations may lead to major disciplinary action and could affect graduation eligibility and/or require summer school.

Spanish Honor Society Toy Drive

Help the Spanish Honor Society as we collect new and gently used toys for children 10 and under. These toys will be donated to La Casita for their Las Posadas event. Please bring all toy donations to the Mission Center, Room 122 by Thursday, December 4th.

$20/20 Tornado Club Fundraiser

This week, the Tornado Club Parent Association announced the start of their $20/20 Fundraiser, and all HFCR families are invited to participate! This fundraiser is simple and adds no extra cost or hardship for families — just teamwork! Together, we can raise enough to cover all school activities this year, including community events, student clubs, sports, teacher activities, SGA, and parent engagement.

Here’s how it works: each scholar, with the help of their family, will collect $20 donations from 20 people — friends, relatives, church members, or neighbors. Incentives include:

• Free Dress Out Pass for collecting half of the goal ($200)
• Entry into a $100 cash drawing when $400 is collected by November 18
• A special class party for the grade level that raises the most!
