Clarification on New Cellphone Policy from CWSP
Dear Holy Family Cristo Rey Families,
I want to share a clarification regarding our Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) cell phone policy to ensure consistent understanding across all job sites.
Here is the CWSP policy, as stated in our official materials:
"Electronic Devices & Internet Use: Students may not use personal electronic devices (phones, earbuds, tablets, etc.) at work, except to contact CWSP staff or with supervisor permission. If internet access is necessary for tasks, supervisors should set expectations clearly."
Clarifying Notes:
-
Students are allowed to have their cell phones on their person while at their CWSP job site for the sole purpose of contacting their parents or the CWSP office in the event of an emergency or a worksite issue.
- Students whose CWSP placement is located on the HFCR campus must follow the cell phone expectations communicated by our Dean of Students, as they are participating in their workday within the school building.
We appreciate your support in helping students maintain a safe, professional, and focused work environment while still ensuring they have the means to reach trusted adults when needed.
Thank you for your dedication to our students and our mission.
