A Word from Pastor Sonja

Grace to you and peace from God our Creator.

What a joy it is to be here at Naples United Church of Christ! My husband, Dave and I moved into our Naples home on May 9th and have quickly settled into a rhythm of life in this beautiful community. I am excited to begin my ministry as your Minister for Congregational Care, and I am deeply grateful to Pastor Mark and the entire staff for their warm welcome when I joined the team on June 1st. I look forward to worshiping with you, visiting with you, providing pastoral care, and serving alongside you in the good work of this congregation.

While settling into our new home, I fell when out for a walk a couple of weeks ago, breaking a bone in my dominant arm. I am currently wearing an arm sling, as needed—I am healing well and will soon begin physical therapy, but please know I am fully here for you. Whether you are navigating a difficult season, need a listening ear, or simply want to connect, it is my privilege to walk alongside you. I can’t wait to get to know each of you.

In faith and hope,

Pastor Sonja
