Join the HBA for a program and reception with Justice Eva Guzman, Justice Jeff Boyd, Justice Jimmy Blacklock and Justice Brett Busby of the Supreme Court of Texas; Justice Julie Countiss of the First Court of Appeals; and Judge Michael Gomez of the 129th District Court. Moderated by Kevin Dubose and Lynne Liberato.

"Balancing the Scales: A Discussion about Gender Parity on the Bench"
 
The HBA Gender Fairness Committee presents a distinguished judicial panel featuring Justice Eva Guzman, Judge Belinda Hill , and Chief Judge Lee Rosenthal , with Judge Sylvia Matthews as moderator, on Thursday, May 2, from 11:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m. at the Harris County Law Library Conference Center . Panelists will explore the importance of gender parity on the bench and provide insight from their careers as women in the judiciary.

The program is approved for 1 hour of MCLE credit, including .5 hour of ethics. The program is open to HBA members at no charge, with lunch provided by Horne Rota Moos and Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman .
