Jennifer A. Hasley (Hasley Scarano, L.L.P.) presents this program for 1.5 hours of MCLE credit, including 1.5 hours of ethics, on Thursday, December 13 , 8:00 - 9:30 a.m. at Marathon Oil Tower .

This holiday-themed ethics presentation will help attorneys better understand the application of the disciplinary rules to real-life situations, risk factors that make attorneys more susceptible to professional liability and disciplinary complaints, and provide practical tips to avoid a potential problem or remedy a possible rule violation. In other words, we will be discussing ways to avoid the “Grievance Grinch,” so that you can get a jump start on your professional goals and resolutions for a successful new year.

Hiram Sasser (First Liberty Institute), Rabbi Steven Morgen (Beth Yeshurun), Murtaza Sutarwalla (Edwards Sutarwalla PLLC) and David A. Furlow (Attorney at Law) present this program for 1.5 hours of MCLE credit, no ethics, on Friday, December 14 , 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. at Heritage Plaza Ground Floor Conference Room .

This seminar will address American Law from a Jewish perspective as well as American Law from main-line Christianity. It will delve into Sharia law and the use of it in international negotiations. Religious lawsuits and their impact will be discussed. There will be a historical look at church and state and how that relationship has influenced legislation and statutes.

No pre-registration is required. Written materials are available for up to $15. The CLE Department makes these written materials available after many of its seminars and institutes.
