for more information contact Lynn Godwin at 910-892-9118.
Step into the English setting of the 1930s and 1940s, The Fox On the Fairway takes audiences on a hilarious romp which pulls the rug out from underneath the stuffy denizens of a private country club. Filled with mistaken identities, slamming doors, and over-the-top romantic shenanigans, it's a furiously paced comedy that recalls the Marx Brothers' classics. A charmingly madcap adventure about love, life, and man's eternal love affair with... golf.

Wings Over Harnett
Saturday, October 18th Harnett County Jetport

The airport will host Wings Over Harnett Saturday, October 18 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. The event will take place at the Harnett Regional Jetport, which received a $4 million facelift over the last year that county officials say allows the jetport to accommodate larger planes and will lead to expanded business opportunities for the county. The event will kick off with a jump by the Golden Knights and Harnett County Manager Tommy Burns, who will do a tandem jump with the Knights. The Golden Knights will carry a ceremonial baton, which will be presented to the guest of honor, World War II veteran and Dunn resident Keith Finch, who operated the old Erwin Airport and has long been a supporter of aviation in Harnett County.
Throughout the day, attendees will be able to see static displays of numerous aircraft including a P-51 Mustang, two Stearman biplanes, a Cirrus SR22, T-28 Trojan, business jets, experimental aircraft and more. Pilots are also encouraged to fly in and allow attendees to view their aircraft. Additionally, the county will partner with Harnett Cruisers to hold a cruise-in with dozens of classic cars on display on the airport grounds.
Helicopter rides will be available for $35 per person and there will be RC Jet demonstrations.
The event will emphasize the history of aviation in Harnett County with displays from the General William C. Lee Airborne Museum in Dunn and photos of the old Erwin Airport provided by the Erwin Historical Society. A number of antique firearms will also be on display along with informational booths from county departments and local organizations.
Events for the kids will include a train ride and face painting along with displays of military and emergency vehicles. Entertainment will be provided throughout the event.
