We were able to safely gather in the gym yesterday for our Ash Wednesday Liturgy. Thank you to Father Masson, Father Kelly as well as all of the students that were involved. It was a beautiful way to begin the Lenten season. #Lion4Life

QUALIFYING ESSAY FOR AP GOVERNMENT AND AP UNITED STATES HISTORY

Due to the inclement weather this Thursday, the Social Studies Essay Date has been changed to Monday, February 22nd. Please refer to the announcement below for details.

AP Government:  Freshman students (currently in Honors World History) who are interested in applying for AP Government next year are required to take a qualifying essay as part of the application process. The essay will be administered on Monday, February 22 at 3:15 pm via Zoom and will take 30 minutes.  If interested in AP Government, please notify your current Honors World History teacher or email Mr. Kederis (jkederis@cohs.com). A Zoom link will be sent via email next Thursday. The essay will not be subject matter specific, so no preparation will be required. If you have any questions about the AP application process, please contact Mr. Kederis. Thank you!

The Danny Hammond Dance Marathon
Students interested in participating in our 2021 Danny Hammond Dance Marathon at COHS as dancers should sign up online today! Students must complete the 2 step process to register. All students are encouraged to participate in this great event at COHS supporting many local organizations in our direct community. The Cardinal O'Hara App
In an effort to increase communication, we are excited to share the launching of our new app. This app includes any important announcements and updates as well as the school calendar. The calendar includes all school events and academic schedules. It will also send you alerts if you enable notifications. The app is still in the early stages, but it is an extremely useful tool for students and parents.

Here are the steps to download the app:

  1. Go to the app store or play store depending on your device.
  2. Search for "School News by Edlio."
  3. Download the app.
  4. Once downloaded, open the app and it will prompt you to search for you school. Type in "Cardinal O'Hara High School." (It should pop up after a few letters)
  5. Once you are in the app, if you click on "alerts" you will be prompted if you would like to enable notifications.
