Lenten Discussion Group


We invite you to join our Lenten Discussion Group on Sunday evenings via Zoom at 6:30 through April 2nd.


Continuing the theme from 2022, we will use a portion of the Sunday morning scripture coupled with the poetry of Mary Oliver to guide our time of discussion and reflection. Please RSVP to Rev. Jill at [email protected] if you are interested in joining the Zoom group.

Thursday, April 27 at 7:00 PM

Hosted by The First Congregational Church of Sheffield

with the conversation moderated by Rev. Jill Graham.


A range of local panelists will reflect on socially-poignant topics of their generation and how their lives and town have changed. Opportunity for audience participation to follow.

The Smithsonian traveling exhibit Crossroads: Change in Rural America arrives in Sheffield on Sunday, March 26 and will be on view in the Bushnell-Sage Library program room through Saturday, May 6.


The library is looking for volunteer docents during library hours to greet and welcome visitors, as well as answer questions about the exhibit. There are no physical requirements and seating is provided.


Stop by the library circulation desk today to sign up!


A brief docent training will be offered on Saturday, March 18 at 2 p.m.

Lighting the Steeple

For the month of March, the steeple will be lit by Belle Fox-Martin in recognition of the work being done by the Berkshire Immigrant Center.

We invite you to sponsor and dedicate the lighting of the steeple this Spring and Summer. We have no dedications yet for April, May, June and July. If interested, reply to this email with your desired month and wording and drop off or mail your contribution to the church.

It is a touching way to honor someone in your life!
