Balancing Life, Stress, and Health During the Covid-19 Pandemic

Do you feel overwhelmed by the stress of Covid-19 while juggling your ‘new normal’? Do you worry about how that stress is impacting your health? If so, you’re not alone! Women tend to bear the burden of taking care of the home, kids and aging parents while also juggling their career. This balancing act can take a toll on mental and physical health. Join us virtually to learn coping strategies for dealing with this anxiety and stress. This discussion will be led by Dr. Manita Nat, OB/GYN, and John Muir Health therapist Valerie Milner, LMFT.
Dr. Manita Nat is a California native, born and raised in Los Angeles. After completing medical school in Europe and her training in Las Vegas, she decided to move back home and settled in the San Francisco Bay Area. Through her travels she has incorporated different cultural aspects into her life and eventually her practice. Professionally, Dr. Nat practices full scope Obstetrics and Gynecology but has special interest in chronic pelvic pain, sexual health, and family planning. She is a minimally invasive trained gynecologic surgeon with laparoscopy and the da Vinci robot. It is of the utmost importance in Dr. Nat’s practice to make her patients feel comfortable to discuss the various intimate topics that encompass Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her global women’s health experience helps her connect with women from all walks of life.
Valerie Milner is a licensed marriage and family therapist who joined John Muir Behavioral Health in 2016. She works in their partial hospitalization programs serving adults, adolescents and addicts. Prior to this, Valerie worked in several nonprofit counseling centers and public schools. Valerie’s other experience includes serving as a Red Cross Disaster Mental Health volunteer, a Subject Matter Expert with the Board of Behavioral Sciences, and a certified Mental Health First Aid instructor. Valerie has received an MA in Counseling Psychology from JFK University, an MS in Public Health from UCLA, and a BA in Sociology from UC Santa Barbara.
