COVID-19: Gov. Newsom orders statewide closures of indoor activities
Responding to the rising COVID-19 cases around the state, Gov. Gavin Newsom  has ordered  all counties to close immediately indoor dining, bars, movie theatres, zoos and museums. Counties on the state’s "watch list" for troubling coronavirus trends must shutter additional businesses. Contra Costa does meet the criteria , so this part of the governor's order does apply to the county. Bob Powers , a professional engineer has more than 20 years of experience in the public transportation industry overseeing major infrastructure projects and transportation programs. Powers began his career at BART in 2012 as the Assistant General Manager of Planning, Development and Construction he was responsible for multi-million-dollar capital projects such as expanding BART service into Antioch and South Fremont, all planning efforts to modernize stations, and the effort to develop land near our stations to help solve the Bay Area’s housing crisis and bring jobs closer to where people live.

American Swim Academy   has been teaching the Bay Area to swim since 1973. Our goal is to promote water safety, comfort and stroke technique for all ages and abilities.
