Leading Economist Predicts an Optimistic
Post-Pandemic Economy

The Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau was proud to host Dr. Christopher Thornberg , one of California’s leading economists at a special Back To Business presentation. Dr. Thornberg, who shared his post-pandemic predictions with more than a hundred attendees, stated despite the depressing headlines, the economy really is moving forward. "Although not out of the woods," he believes the worst is already behind us and predicts a positive third quarter.

Dr. Thornberg was joined by Chamber Board Director, Ed Del Beccaro , EVP/San Francisco Bay Area Regional Manager, TRI Commercial Real Estate Services, Inc. While
Dr. Thornberg addressed the "Big Picture," Del Beccaro focused his comments on what's expected locally. He agreed with Thornberg's third-quarter predictions, sharing his firm is currently hiring in anticipation of catching the expected business wave.
