For All Generations Update | |
Church Family,
It was great second week of our For All Generations spiritual journey. I am grateful for you being part of it! Here are a few of the highlights:
- We were blessed musically by the Westminster Choir and Dan Spiegel.
-
Elder Chris Yenchek gave a powerful testimony about his belief in the campaign, as a life long member who grew up in the church.
- We held a Connect Class with many prospective new members expressing appreciation for our campaign’s focus on newcomers.
I look forward to seeing you this Sunday when we’ll feature “Jazz Worship” and a message on Faith in the Promise.
If you’ve not had a chance, take a look at the campaign page on our website. Commitment Cards were mailed, are available at church, and an online card is on the website.
Blessings,
Pastor Kellen
P.S. On Commitment Sunday, March 23, we’ll have one service at 10:30 a.m. so we can all be together for a special day in the life of our church. Adult Education with Dr. David Lauber will be offered at 9:00 a.m. that day.

Praying in Unity at 3:20
The For All Generations Daily Devotional Guide can be found online, with printed copies being available in the Rotunda, Narthex, and church office. You’ll find verses and prayers from members of our congregation to inspire our hearts throughout the For All Generations campaign. We are being invited to intentionally pray daily for the initiative at 3:20 p.m. for one minute each afternoon, with this timing being based on the campaign scripture, Ephesians 3:20-21. The prayer of the day will be posted on Facebook at 3:20 p.m.

Sunday's Message:
For All Generations
“Faith in the Promise”
1 Chronicles 28:11-21
The For All Generations sermon series will take us on a spiritual journey at a key moment in the life of our church. The four-part series will focus on 1 Chronicles 28-29, when the Lord called the people to build the temple. We will explore themes including surrender, sacrifice, faith, and willingness. Through praying, attending, and committing together, we can realize our vision for the future.
9:00 and 10:30 a.m. Services

“A Long Obedience in the Same Direction”
Sundays through April 13
10:30 a.m. in Stewart Hall
Led by Dr. David Lauber, Dean of Humanities and Theological Studies and Professor of Theology at Wheaton College
In a world of rapid acceleration, patience is scarce. In fact, impatience is often celebrated. Constant change, the quest for immediate gratification, and persistent distraction have become the norm. The season of Lent provides us with an opportunity to slow down, reflect, take stock, and thoughtfully approach Holy Week, the Cross, and Easter Sunday. With Eugene Peterson as our guide, we will explore together how the Psalms of Ascents (Psalms 120-134) teach us to deepen and grow in worship, service, joy, happiness, perseverance, hope, humility, and faith, and equip us for the slow and steady journey of following Jesus.
