Annual Congregational Meeting

This year’s Annual Congregational Meeting will be held on Sunday, January 29, following the 10:30 service. We’ll be providing special refreshments and food for a time of fellowship in the Rotunda after the meeting. Childcare will be extended and activities provided for older kids in Stewart Hall.

The Chinese New Year: This Sunday, we welcome back Jon and Zoe from Beijing, to give us Asian insights on theology.

Confirmation Information Meeting

All 8th graders and their parents are invited to a Confirmation Information Meeting on Sunday, February 5, at 11:30 a.m. in Stewart Hall. Confirmation is a significant milestone in a student’s faith, and we hope your student will join Pastor Kat for this journey of growth. Confirmation classes will be held weekly on Sundays at 10:30 a.m., beginning February 19.

Presbyterians in Partnership – Per Capita

All churches are invited to support the mission of the PC(USA), our larger church family. You can help First Pres to fulfill this Per Capita commitment by making a contribution of $36.50 for each church member in your family in addition to your regular giving. Last year's fully funded per capita commitment to the Chicago Presbytery was $35,280. That amount will increase this year to $35,770. You’re welcome to make your check out to First Presbyterian Church and note “Per Capita” in the memo line, or contribute online and select the Per Capita fund from drop down menu. Thank you for your support of the greater church.

Wedding Coordinator Announcement

We are excited to announce that First Pres Wheaton has not only one ... but two new wedding coordinators! Mother-in-law/daughter-in-law duo, Beth and Lauren Trumpy, are joining our staff to manage wedding details and guide couples to a special and memorable occasion. They will work with Tanya Downing to transition into the role and we look forward to them helping couples have the wedding of their dreams at First Pres.

• Valentine’s Tea Party – Friday, February 10 from 6:00-7:30 p.m.

Genesis Middle School Ministry

We meet on Sundays from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

WF High School Ministry

WF meets on Sunday evenings from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at church.

Women's Ministry

Winter Card Writing Workshop

Thursday, January 19

1:00-3:30 p.m. in Stewart Hall

Joins us as we gather together to make winter greeting cards to send to the members of our congregation. You can put your artistic talents to work by creating some cards. If you’d rather, you may write notes and address the envelopes. There will be something for everyone! Come for the entire time or drop in for a few minutes. You do not need to be a member of a circle to participate. Come and join this wonderful time of fellowship. All supplies will be provided and light refreshments will be served. Kindly RSVP below.
