WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS

Folks,

It has been brought to my attention that the Memorial Day parade will take place at the same time as the service for the Feast of the Ascension this Thursday evening.  Given this - and the reality of the challenge to get to St. Thomas with streets closed - we will celebrate Ascension on Wednesday at 7:30 pm.  This is not optimal, nor is it pleasing, but we need to be mindful of the conflict with the parade.

In short, the midweek service will be Wednesday (as usual), not Thursday.

Landscaping opportunity at St. Thomas
Do you like to plant and garden? Would you like to help put your stamp on St. Thomas's property?   Consider this!
As you know, we are working with a reduced budget. Although we have the services of a landscaping company, any work we need done outside of the monthly maintenance contract costs us.
You may have noticed we have pulled out bushes to each side of the stairs into Heathcote Hall, and heading towards the steps up to the parking lot. We want to beautify the area, but need volunteers to help get the job done.
Additionally, we are looking for folks who, instead of helping with labor, would like to make a donation towards the landscaping of our property.
We will be looking for a Saturday to get the work done, so if you are interested in either planting or making a donation, contact Carol - rectorstthomas@gmail.com.
Do you know someone who needs to find a home for a cat?
Susan Hanaway is looking for a friendly adult cat who is at least a year old. If you have any leads please call Susan at the following number: (914) 777-0072.
