Christmas Services

Folks,

Many thanks to those of you who completed the survey regarding Christmas Eve; it has helped us to better understand the wishes of the congregation for services that afternoon and evening.  

As Tami and I stated, given the spike in the virus, there was a real possibility the Bishop would suspend in-person worship. Yesterday we received two letters from him. The first told us to limit in-person worship to ten people, total; the second one was a walk-back based on the response to his first letter. The second letter says we are to make the determination based on the community we serve. Mamaroneck’s cases were up 84% last week, and with the very real likelihood we will have a spike based on what people choose to do for Thanksgiving, we are going to stick with his initial ten person limit for Christmas Eve.

We will live-stream from the church on Christmas Eve at 4:30 pm. The altar party (i.e., acolytes, crucifer, clergy) and lectors will be the only people in the church. We continue to pray - and believe - that if we follow protocols, act wisely, and have a vaccine, we will be able to gather in our beautiful church sometime late in 2021.

Interfaith Thanksgiving Zoom Service

Tonight, Wednesday, November 25th at 7:00 PM

Each year, houses of worship in Larchmont and Mamaroneck join together to offer an interfaith Thanksgiving Service. This year, participants recorded their parts of the service and LMC Media put the pieces together into one video. 

St. Thomas will host a Zoom watching of the video in place of our Wednesday evening service tonight at 7:00 PM.

Angel Tree

We are once again collecting gifts to brighten Christmas for families who have been identified through Washingtonville Housing and the Community Resource Center. 

Instead of a physical angel tree with cards hanging on it, Aria Friedman has put together a virtual list with the requests of the families which you can access by clicking on the link below. 

Alternatively we will have time for signing up after the 10:00 Zoom service on Sunday or you can email Aria to choose a gift. 

We will give directions for dropping off your wrapped gifts sometime soon.
Stewardship Update

Thank you to all who have already made a pledge for the upcoming year. 

If you haven't yet, please take a moment to consider how you might be able to financially support St. Thomas this year.  

A downloadable pledge card can be filled out here, and then emailed to the office or sent to our mailing address: 168 West Boston Post Road in Mamaroneck, NY, 10543. 

Please return your pledge cards as soon as possible, as next year's budget planning is underway.
