Church Family,
We have entered the second week of Lent. If the first week invites us to honesty, the second often invites us to trust.
In Scripture, the wilderness is rarely comfortable, but it is always formative. It is in the wilderness that distractions fall away. It is there that we discover what we truly hunger for. And it is there that God meets us, not with condemnation, but with provision.
Lent asks us to stay in that space a little longer than we might prefer. To resist rushing to Easter. To allow God to do deep work beneath the surface. Here’s a question to ask this week: Where might God be inviting you to trust Him more fully right now?
This week, consider setting aside a few intentional minutes each day simply to sit in quiet prayer. No fixing. No striving. Just listening. The God who led Israel by cloud and fire is faithful still.
May this second week of Lent deepen your trust and steady your hope.
Blessings,
Pastor Kellen
P.S. Thank you for "inviting a friend" during the month of February. We were able to hand out several coffee gift cards to first time guests.

Face to Face “Born from Above”
John 3:1-17
Sunday's Message: Nicodemus comes at night—curious, cautious, searching. He is accomplished and religious, yet still unsettled. Jesus invites him into a mystery beyond achievement: new birth. Lent exposes the limits of our spiritual resume and reminds us that transformation is not self-improvement but rebirth by the Spirit. God’s love is not earned; it is given. In this nighttime conversation, we hear again the promise that God so loves the world and that love makes us new.
Lent is not merely a season of reflection—it is an invitation to encounter. In the gospels, lives are changed not through abstract ideas but through face-to-face moments with Jesus: in the wilderness, in the dark of night, at a well in the heat of day, and beside a tomb heavy with grief. This series traces four encounters that reveal who Jesus is and who we are becoming. As we walk with Christ toward the cross, we discover that every honest encounter with him reshapes our desires, our identity, our thirst, and even our understanding of life and death. This Lent, we come face to face with the One who changes everything.

"The First Hymn" Sunday with Special Guest Dr. John Dickson
On Sunday, March 15, we will welcome Dr. John Dickson to preach at both of our morning services. Dr. Dickson is a respected historian, author, and professor whose work explores the reliability of early Christianity and the historical foundations of our faith. His thoughtful, accessible approach has helped many people deepen their confidence in the gospel.
Following the 10:30 service, we will gather for a screening of the documentary film "The First Hymn," a fascinating exploration of the oldest known Christian hymn ever discovered—dating back nearly 1,800 years. After the screening, Dr. Dickson will join us for a live Q&A session, offering insight into the historical background of the hymn, the making of the film, and what it means for Christians today.
