Inviting all 60+ members and friends to join together on Veteran's Day for an uplifting time of fellowship and inspiration. We will enjoy a delicious catered lunch with entertainment.

Our speaker for the event is David Iglesias, J.D., Director of the Wheaton Center for Faith, Politics and Economics. He is also an Associate Professor of Politics and Law at Wheaton College, and previously served as a state, federal and military prosecutor with a focus on national security and terrorism cases.

Thanksgiving Feast

Thanksgiving Feast

Join your church family for a celebratory Thanksgiving Feast. The week

before the holiday, all generations are invited to enjoy this time of giving thanks while sharing a delicious meal. RSVP here by Sunday, November 17 or by calling the church office.

The Table

We look forward to seeing you for a catered, buffet-style meal starting at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings. You’ll enjoy seeing old friends and making new ones around the table. We celebrate birthdays and anniversaries, are led in song, and have a brief teaching. There are also activities for children and a Toddler Corner for kids two and under. RSVPs are requested by the Sunday prior to each Wednesday gathering.

Toys For Tots Volunteers

Thursday, November 21

6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Volunteers are invited to assist Toys for Tots at 2011 63rd Street in Downers Grove. We will be sorting toys by age and gender and filling toy orders for organizations. Thanks for your participation!  Sign up here.

Christmas Sharing

2024 Christmas Sharing is Saturday, December 14

Christmas Sharing will again be held at First Pres Wheaton in the same format as last year. Please note there will be no collection of used goods. First Pres has set high goals to provide for 175 families and pray the congregation will be able to fully support the effort in providing for District 200 families in need. 

New Items Most Needed:

• Twin / Queen / King sheet sets
• Gifts for children age 12 and up (athletic balls, bluetooth headphones, bluetooth speakers $20 or less)

All volunteer help is needed and appreciated!

• Volunteer to pass out boxes: Sundays, November 17 - December 8 (10:00-11:00 a.m.)
• Volunteer at church the week of Christmas Sharing: December 9-14

Youth Ministry

• Genesis Middle School Ministry meets on Sundays from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
• WF High School Ministry meets on Sundays from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

First Pres Food Pantry

Join us in showing support for the People's Resource Center and the Interfaith Food Pantry. A collection basket is located in the Rotunda, along with a sign listing suggested items. The Mission Committee is featuring a monthly focus for most-needed donations.

The greatest needs for November are baking supplies (please place in plastic grocery bag). Thank you for supporting our neighbors in need.
