Sermon Series: 1 Chronicles: A Living History

This 3-part series explores the history and theology of the book of 1 Chronicles. Through understanding the context and audience, we can understand the role God plays in history and our heritage, the importance of worship, and the
importance of leading by example in the virtues that are a part of a godly life.

Congregational Meeting This Sunday

There will be a brief congregational meeting after worship on Sunday, July 25 for the purpose of filling open positions on the Board of Deacons. Please make plans to attend. 
No Wednesday Night Bible Study Tonight

The Pastor’s Summer Study: The Book of Acts will not be held tonight, and will resume next Wednesday.


Kids Ministry
  • Sunday School and Childcare – Sundays during 10:30 a.m. worship
  • Water Works Family Event – This Saturday, July 24 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Join us for this water and bubble works event! Younger children will run through a sprinkler and dance through bubbles. Older kids will have a foam water blaster competition and water balloon games. Separate venues for the age groups, and fun for the entire family. Let's celebrate summer together in fun and faith building! Please RSVP to help with supplies.
  • Wheels in the Lot Family Event - Mark your calendar for our next summer family event on Friday, August 13 at 5:00 p.m.
Genesis – Middle School Ministry
  • Genesis Summer Sundays for middle schoolers entering grades 6-8, meets during the 10:30 a.m. worship service. Join us in Stewart Hall for fellowship, donuts, games and a Bible lesson.

WF – High School Ministry
  • WF Youth Group – No WF this week. Our next WF event is on Sunday, August 1 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. We will be meeting a possible Youth Director candidate that night. Please plan to attend if you are in town!
  • Official Mini-Mission Trip date: August 6 & 7 – Sign up by THIS SUNDAY, July 25 by emailing Nancy!
Blood Drive This Saturday

*Note: Please remember to eat a full meal before your blood donation.

Vaccinated donors need to wait TWO FULL days from time of vaccine to donate. Donors do NOT need to be vaccinated to give!
School Supply Drive – July 2021

You can help children get off to a good start this school year by donating backpacks and school supplies to help support local children in need. This annual mission effort is a blessing to many children who are in need during this time.

Shopping: There are various ways to shop and ship/drop-off –
  • Online at Amazon and Target 
  • Any store of your choosing – A general supply list has been created to help you with your purchases. You may ship backpacks and supplies directly to the church or drop off your contributions in the Rotunda. 
Supply donations may be received through July 30. However, please drop off empty backpacks by Friday, July 23. Drop-off hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Fridays, and on Sundays before and after church services.

Financial Contributions: You may also make a financial contribution for this mission by giving online or writing a check to First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton and designating "School Supply Drive” in the memo. Please make your financial contribution by Friday, July 23. Contact the church office with any questions. Thank you for supporting the children this year!

For our in-person viewing, we have invited the women from Naperville Knox, River Glen, Southminister, Heritage and Hope Presbyterian Churches to join us! Learn more.
