Christmas Fair
We are very pleased to report that this year's Christmas Fair was a huge success. The weather was beautiful and we had a steady stream of visitors. Countless volunteers worked hard before, during and after the Fair to create a memorable day of good cheer and community. All the hard work paid off handsomely: after expenses the Fair netted $13,476.38. The Thrift Shop agreed to add the money from today's and Saturday's sales to this amount, and with the additional help of an anonymous benefactor we have exceeded our goal of $15,000.00. This enables us to retire a minimum of $1,000,000.00 in medical debt.
Pledge Cards
In preparation for the Annual Meeting (that will be held on Sunday, January 26 th ), the Vestry must approve a budget for the congregation to authorize at that time. The Vestry needs to consider, review, and pass the budget at their meeting next week. If you have not yet returned your card (or have lost it), please return it on Sunday. If it is more convenient, please send an email to Carol with your pledge amount in it; this is a suitable alternative for the card. Either way, please do send us your pledge.
Party for Eric
Sunday, December 29 th is Eric’s last Sunday with us.  There will only be a 10 am service that day.   The service will be one of Lessons and Carols, so you will the opportunity to sing some of your favorite Christmas music and also celebrate Eric’s time with us. There is a sign-up sheet at the rear of the church, asking for simple food items for the party. If you can help out with this, please sign up!

Book Club
St. Thomas Book Club will meet to celebrate 2020 with a discussion of our own Solange DeSantis’ work, Life on the Line . Get reading, and join us on January 12 at 11:30 am in the Library.

This Sunday during coffee hour, we will be visited by members of the Original Civics Research & Action program from Mamaroneck High School. The purpose of this group is to make positive change in the community; to that end, they have been conducting research through interviews with community stakeholders regarding local issues and concerns.   They will be bringing a brief and anonymous community concerns survey related to this initiative. If you are approached by one of them at coffee hour, you may decline participation in the survey. I hope many of you will choose to participate and help out this endeavor.

You can take the SURVEY also online.
