Sacred Ground at St. Thomas

LAST CALL : If you would like to participate in Sacred Ground, a 10-part series on race and faith built around a powerful online curriculum of documentary films and readings, we ask you to email the office  by July 31 , confirming your commitment.

You agree to make every effort to attend each of the 10 monthly meetings, which will take place on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, starting September 8, 2020. We will meet via Zoom at 7:00 pm, and each session will take 90 minutes. We also ask that you commit to doing the homework.

You will purchase or borrow the following two books which serve as core texts:

If acquiring the books is cost-prohibitive for you, please let Carol or Tami know and we will provide you with a copy of each.
W hat Does Church Mean To You?

DEADLINE EXTENDED : If you want to share thoughts on what the church has meant to you and what role it has played in your life during the pandemic, send your text to the  office  by  September 1 . If we have enough submissions w e will create a book with these writings to be committed to both the Vestry minutes and the church archives.
Book Group

The St. Thomas Book Club will meet via Zoom on August 2 at 11:30 am to discuss James Baldwin's If Beale Street Could Talk.  Please join us in reading the book and plan to attend our meeting. We'd love to see you.

Mom's Group

The moms' group meets Fridays at noon for 30 minutes  for a prayer, meditation, and a talk about our current circumstances. This group gives support and refreshment to all mothers who need a break from the new routine imposed by COVID-19.  All are welcome, whether you signed up or not.
