Principals' Message

Dear CLCS Families,



Bike, Scooter, & Walker Safety

As more and more students transition back to walking or riding to school, please remind your students about the importance of stopping and looking both ways before crossing any street. Additionally, we’re asking students and parents to slow down and then walk their bikes or scooters as they approach our entrances so that we can safely share the sidewalks and walkways.


Multicultural Fair Night

Save the Date: On May 21 (6-8 PM), we will host our Multicultural Fair Night. You, your family and/or a group of families are welcome to showcase your cultural heritage. If you’d like to showcase your family’s culture, click here to register to participate. 


All families are welcome to attend and participate in the activities to learn about and celebrate other cultures without having a booth or table set up.

Looking for a way to celebrate the promotion of your student? Check out the yard sign options. Orders are due by May 21st and will be delivered by June 3rd.

Starting next week, the Coyote Cafe will begin a trial run of offering additional snack items for purchase to Upper School students. This pilot will help us better understand student interest as we consider expanding this offering next year.


Snacks will be available after lunch service only and will be cash only. Available options will include chips, cookies, muffins, and snack bars, with prices ranging from $0.50 to $2.00.


We look forward to seeing how students enjoy this new option!


Coed Intramural Flag Football (Gr. 5-8) 

Dates: May 18-June 10 Mon-Thurs 3:30-5pm

Cost: $60.00

No Flag Football on Monday, May 25th (Memorial Day)

Minimum of 20 students to run the program

Meets in hallway outside gym each day

Music Summer Camps

All Camps are from August 3-7 (Mon-Fri)

Fee: $50/Camp

Instructor: Mr. Milan


Choir Camp 9am-10am : This camp is used as an introduction into our choir ensembles for the year. In this camp, students will work on learning basic rhythms, voice types, warm ups and technique, as well as getting started on a few pieces for the beginning of the school year! We have tons of activities, games, and challenges. This camp takes place in the Music room (3423).

Orchestra Camp 10:15am-11:15am: This camp is used as an introduction into our Orchestra ensembles for the year. In this camp, students will work on learning basic rhythms, beginning types of instruments and playing styles, and meeting their potential string ensemble mates and building relationships with them! We have tons of activities, games, and challenges, along with opportunities for students to get to try out a few instruments. Takes place in the Orchestra room (3423). At the end of our camp, students who do not yet have an instrument will be able to sign up for instrument rentals and have it set for when the school year begins!

Band Camp 11:20am-12:20pm: This camp is used as an introduction into our Band ensembles for the year. In this camp, students will work on learning basic rhythms, different types of instruments, and meeting their potential bandmates and building relationships with them! We have tons of activities, games, and challenges, along with opportunities for students to get to try out a few instruments. Takes place in the Band room (3423). At the end of our camp, students who do not yet have an instrument will be able to sign up for instrument rentals and have it set for when the school year begins!

Summer Soccer Skills Camp - NEW 

This camp is designed to transition youth players to the next level. Through specifically designed small-sided games and scrimmages, coaches work with each player to improve his or her individual skills. Each camp session focuses on precision passing, targeted shooting and intermediate to advanced ball control techniques. Campers should bring a water bottle and a light snack to camp each day. Due to this camp most likely being outdoors, please apply any sunscreen to your child before camp begins. This camp is run by Hot Shots Sports.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 10AM - 1PM 6/15-6/18 (4 days)

Grades: K-4 (As of 2026-27 school year)

Cost: $120.00 Payments must be made through the Converge Payment Portal to finalize your child's registration.

Camp Location: Cambridge Lakes Charter School Soccer Field/Gymnasium

Registration Deadline: Thursday, June 11 at 5pm or until camp is full

Summer Total Sports Camp- NEW


Chess Wizards Summer Camp- NEW

Chess Wizards is a premier chess education company providing fun, informative, and challenging chess lessons to students in K-8th grade. Our program is designed for children at every stage of their chess journey – regardless of their skill level – with classes that build upon each other, starting with the basics and progressing to more challenging lessons as your child advances from one session to the next. Chess Wizards teaches children how to problem solve, think critically, win graciously, and accept defeat with dignity and sportsmanship. Students will be divided into groups according to their chess experience. At the end of this session, each student would have had the chance to participate in a mini-chess tournament.
