Apply for the Department of Defense's X-Force Technology Fellowship open to undergraduate and graduate students who are US citizens.
Participants possess a diverse set of skills ranging from mobile and web app development, data analysis and visualization, hardware prototyping, social media strategy, and technology scouting.
Last year, Georgia Tech students participated in the pilot program and worked with 15 military problem sponsors across many states to develop prototype capabilities that address real-world problem topics.
Some awesome example projects for THIS summer (we will have 50+) are:
- help the Air Force integrate multiple data sets into a single dashboard to help flight scheduling
- create the app to end all apps to optimize human performance of Green Berets
- develop a social media playbook and strategy for PSYOPs
- design and build better targets to provide real time feedback during live fire exercises
X-Force Fellows will be paid a competitive stipend ($2,500 per month) and provided with a small budget for travel and material expenses.
X-Force Remote volunteers are unpaid.
