Join us for our Startup AMA virtual roundtable conversation with Nakia Melecio. We will discuss your idea, startup, invention, or business idea. Ask any question; nothing is off-limits.
Nakia Melecio helps entrepreneurs execute on their ideas while guiding them in the total startup journey — from product development and selling to the government, to their go-to-market strategy and customer discovery to scaling a company and getting capital. He has worked with more than 700 startups worldwide, with more than 15,000 hours of classroom time working with entrepreneurs.

Beginning February 22, Georgia Tech faculty, graduate teaching assistants (GTA), and students will have the opportunity to participate in one of a series of 24 listening sessions focusing on their classroom experiences this semester. The one-hour sessions hosted by the Academic Restart Task Force will help inform continuous improvement efforts for spring and will be shared with campus administrators and the Institute Restart Task Forces.
The goal of the series is to provide insight into perceptions of instructional effectiveness, student engagement, the usefulness of technology, and consistency/clarity of communication and expectations. Sessions for faculty will focus on a specific course mode. Competition, Funding, and Internship Opportunities

The Richards Barrentine Values and Ventures Competition is one of the nation’s premier undergraduate business competitions. The competition boasts distinguished judges and mentors from among seasoned entrepreneurs, investment professionals, CEO’s and others. Throughout the two-day event, students have opportunities to network with other like-minded students, faculty from across the globe and successful entrepreneurs and business professionals.
This international competition epitomizes the Neeley School’s mission – to develop ethical leaders with a global perspective who help shape the business environment – by encouraging student entrepreneurs to develop for-profit enterprises that impact society in meaningful ways. The participants truly have a head for business and heart for humanity. This year will we award over $200,000 in cash awards, including a $100,000 Grand Prize.
The deadline to apply is February 22, 2021.

The National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) and VentureWell have come together to support and expand the Design by Biomedical Undergraduate Teams (DEBUT) challenge, a competition that recognizes undergraduate excellence in biomedical design and innovation.
DEBUT challenges teams of students in undergraduate biomedical education to solve real-world problems in healthcare. Prizes of up to $20,000 will be awarded.
Applications are due June 1, 2021.

Goodie Nation has partnered with Google For Startups to distribute $5 million in non-dilutive financial capital to 75+ of the most promising Black-led startups from across the U.S. through the Google for Startups Black Founders Fund.
In addition to non-dilutive capital, recipients of the fund will receive wrap-around support from both Goodie Nation and Google For Startups in the form of network connections, high-value content, and marketing opportunities to help them advance their companies. Applications are accepted year-round, and funds are distributed on a first come, first serve basis.

The Idea-To-Market course is a specialist series of 5 webinars.
This course is ideal for existing SMEs, self-employed, startup founders and corporate spinoffs who want to enhance their ideas. It is also ideal for those individuals who do not have a specific idea, but are looking to work through the creative process to harness ideas and start up their business.
Participants will work through the process of idea generation and will explore different ways to generate feasible business ideas and turn them into new products and services.
